We’re a global, remote, team and are looking for a highly motivated lead bookkeeper to join our team full-time. The lead bookkeeper will own the books for our brands, and lead our existing bookkeeping team. This is an exciting opportunity that comes with a lot of room for autonomy and ownership.

You're growth-oriented, hard-working, and looking for a breakout role with a dynamic and growing e-commerce company. An excellent communicator and ambitious bookkeeping professional. You’ve worked in e-commerce bookkeeping for a while now and understand inventory bookkeeping, e-commerce software, and tools, and can manage large SKU libraries. If you’re an efficiency, processes, integration, and automation fanatic, it’s a major plus. We always look to implement the latest software and optimize processes, and look to our team members to play a vital role in helping the team work smarter. 

You are someone who:

• We can trust

• Works hard and has excellent attention to detail

• Has prior experience with e-commerce accounting

• Understands how to read and use reports from e-commerce platforms (ex: Shopify), tools (ex: Klaviyo), merchant processors (ex: Paypal, Sezzle), marketplaces (ex: Amazon, Etsy), and WMS/Order Management software (ex: Shiphero, SellerCloud) to accomplish bookkeeping goals

• Understands parent/child SKU relationships and can efficiently work with large SKU libraries (100,000+ SKUS)  

• Doesn’t mind going the extra mile when necessary

• Has prior experience working in a remote environment

📣 About the Role

You will work closely with one of our founders and become a trusted partner to him. You’ll own all things bookkeeping for our 5 entities and help manage our outsourced bookkeeping team in Argentina. 

📌 Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Accurately and timely record revenue and expense

• Monitor the flow of transactions into Quickbooks and related software to ensure accuracy

• Monitor reporting & transactions across all sales channels and merchant services like Paypal, eBay, Etsy, Shopify, and Amazon

• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and merchant account reconciliations and identify and resolve discrepancies

• Reconcile e-commerce platforms to banks, merchant service providers, and shipping platforms

• Prepare and send invoices using Quickbooks Online 

• Analyze & improve workflow processes for efficiencies

• Assure the accuracy of the work being done by all bookkeeping team members

📝 Requirements

• Fluent in written and verbal English

• 2+ years of experience in e-commerce Bookkeeping

• Experience leading a team of at least 3

• Prior QuickBooks Online experience

• Accounts Receivable/Invoicing

• Accounts Payable

• Working knowledge of Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, and other ecom platforms and marketplaces

• Experience reconciling merchant service providers like Paypal, ShopPay, Amazon Pay, Sezzle, Afterpay, Affirm, etc.

• Accrual Basis Accounting

• Advanced Excel skills, with a mastery of Vlookups, PivotTables, and managing large complex datasets (100K+ rows) 

• Detail-oriented

• Proactive Communicator

• Prior SellerCloud and Connectbooks experience is a plus
