About the Opportunity
The Business Development Representative role at Ontra is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career in sales within a world-class sales organization.
In this role, you will continue building upon your sales foundation for a successful career in business development by working closely with Ontra’s Account Executives and Account Directors to book meetings and help close deals.

This role will report directly to one of our Business Development Managers.
What You’ll Do
Research & Prospecting: Support lead generation by conducting research and helping the Sales team curate prospect lists
Cold Outreach: Make 30 calls and send 50 emails per day in order to hit a goal of booking 10 meetings per month
Sales Operations: Manage calendars, external resources, and efficiency tools to coordinate meetings, pitch activities, and conduct outbound campaigns
Meeting Preparation: Help prepare for meetings and sales pitches with net-new prospects and current customers by preparing debriefs, write-ups, and other materials as needed
Campaign Execution: Execute sales outreach, support Account Directors and Account Executives in meetings, and manage follow-up activity to ensure smooth and consistent communication with prospects
Data Management: Ensure data accuracy by entering new sales data, and by maintaining and updating Salesforce
Sales Projects: Manage key action items and ad hoc requests for business development needs
What You’ll Bring
1+ year of experience conducting cold calls and sending cold emails (or other written outreach); experience within a global technology company preferred
Sales Hunter Mindset: Consistently strive for and exceed sales targets; no goal too large and no client too complex
Technical Savvy: Enjoy learning new skills and adapting to new platforms quickly; experience with Excel, Salesforce, and Outreach a plus
Verbal & Written Communication Skills: Comfortable communicating to a wide range of audiences with clear, concise, and compelling language
Organization: Process-oriented and enjoy creating and maintaining systems upon which others rely
Efficiency: Excellent time-management skills, able to prioritize tasks appropriately, and streamline processes
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on punctuation and grammar; considered a go-to proofreading resource
Desire to Learn: Ability to rapidly learn about new industries and the pain points of target customers
Pay Transparency
Ontra takes individual candidate location, experience, and skills into consideration when determining compensation.
Some positions may be eligible for additional compensation, such as commission, variable compensation, profits interest units, or other equity-based compensation, which are not included in the base pay range.
Base Pay Range: £35,420 – £49,280 GBP
