ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Pallet, you’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build and refine the systems powering our AI-driven logistics platform. 

Focused on creating high-quality solutions for order management, dispatching, and driver products, you’ll help deliver a transparent, user-friendly experience while driving cost savings and efficiency through automation. You'll be critical in transforming how businesses operate in this essential industry by contributing to reusable components, collaborating with QA, and aligning with the team’s mission to modernize logistics.

SOME THINGS YOU MAY BE WORKING ON

  • Building robust, simple, and scalable APIs to power the frontend applications

  • Designing efficient database schemas, implementing data models, and optimizing queries for performance

  • Implementing strategies like horizontal scaling, load balancing, and distributed systems to handle increased traffic and data volumes

  • Building real-time features like live updates and notifications using technologies like WebSockets, Firebase, Supabase, etc

  • Implementing security measures like authentication, authorization (role-based access control), encryption, and vulnerability scanning

YOU HAVE

  • A strong drive, a self-starter with a sense of ownership, capable of working independently and also collaboratively

  • A track record of executing and delivering on large projects with high ambiguity.

  • Mentored junior engineers, led technical discussions, and contributed to the overall technical direction of the team.

  • The ability to strike a balance between rapid iterative development and high-quality code. You understand the tradeoffs and are capable of communicating risks to the project PM

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading technical discussions and persuading key stakeholders.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience working with TypeScript, React, and/or Node.js

  • Experience working with RESTful or GraphQL APIs

  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.

This is our process for most of our roles, but sometimes stages are subject to change. We will definitely notify you of the change ahead of time.

Step 1: ✋ Chat with Grace, our Talent Lead - 30 mins

Step 2: 💬 Chat with the Hiring Manager; our Director of Engineering - Alexei - 30 mins

Step 3: 💻 Live Technical Screen with Staff Engineer - 45 mins 

Step 4: 🗣️ Final Interview - 4 hours (two technical rounds, two behavioral rounds) 

✅ Brief Background Check and Reference Check 

 

POSITION'S COMPENSATION RANGE

  • $175,000 - $210,000 + generous equity
