Senior Cloud Security Engineer - Remote

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer who thrives in a DevSecOps environment and has a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, security vulnerabilities, and application security.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

• Strong experience in securing cloud-native applications in AWS and Kubernetes, both from a defensive (proactive security controls) and offensive (red teaming, penetration testing) perspective.

• Hands-on expertise in cloud security architectures, IAM, network security, and best practices for securing AWS environments.

• Deep understanding of application security—how programming languages, libraries, and frameworks contribute to security risks.

• Experience analyzing vulnerabilities in cloud workloads (containers, serverless functions, VMs) and mitigating them effectively.

• Real-world experience in incident response, forensic analysis, and post-mortem investigations.

• Proficiency in security automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code (Python preferred, Terraform, or equivalent).

• The ability to assess and manage risks, ensuring secure software development, container security, and cloud-native security controls.

• A growth mindset—you're always learning and know how to make conscious security trade-offs.

As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will:

• Analyze and mitigate vulnerabilities across cloud infrastructure, containers, and application layers.

• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for cloud environments, considering the impact of application code, libraries, and cloud configurations.

• Automate security processes by integrating cloud-native and third-party security services into our AWS and Kubernetes stack.

• Work as a security analyst, reacting to security findings, managing vulnerabilities, and improving cloud security posture.

• Advise teams across the organization on secure coding practices, cloud security strategies, and emerging threats.

• Support compliance efforts by ensuring alignment with industry standards
