API Technical Writer

Job Category

QuinStreet is looking for a technical writer with the expertise to understand and communicate the technical aspects of a product to both highly technical and non-technical users. This will essentially be translating highly technical documents written by engineers into a more digestible form, providing users with the information that will resonate best with them based on their varying backgrounds. This will be a short term project approximately 1-2 months.

 

Responsibilities

  • The writer will work with product managers, product marketing, and engineers to produce and maintain world-class documentation, including: User Guides, Integration Guides, API Developer Guides, In platform documentation (tooltips, welcome instructions, etc.).

  • Learn complex concepts, and communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users.

  • Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability.

 

Experience 

  • Experience creating user guides, integration guides, API developer guides, in-platform instructions, installation/configuration instructions and system operations.

  • 2+ years' experience as a technical writer

  • Technical Understanding of API's

The expected hourly range for this position is $65/hr USD to $90/hr USD. This hourly range is an estimate, and the actual hourly rate may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The hourly rate may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits.
