Senior Analyst, Analytics

At a glance:

This is a senior-level Analyst position on our Analytics team with a core responsibility of analyzing marketing and advertising data to provide actionable insights and optimization to improve upon client business objectives. This person will own responsibilities supporting TV and digital media optimization; including but not limited to measurement plan development, test design of experiments, regular and ad hoc campaign reporting and analysis. This person will also be supporting internal media planning, buying, creative and client service teams.

What does a Senior Analyst do at Rain the Growth Agency?

  • Support media optimization initiatives for all channels: TV, print, radio, website, paid search, digital video, display, email etc.

    • Design, develop and update Datorama dashboards that enable internal and client audiences to view campaign performance and key performance trends

    • Mine robust and granular data sets, and develop analyses to explain what happened and why

    • Present project specific findings to internal and client team members and collect feedback to refine future analysis

    • Assist Media Planners to develop actionable insight beyond standard reporting to drive strategic marketing direction

    • Produce performance reports (e.g. scorecards, dashboards, ad-hoc reports) for clients, and ability to recognize and troubleshoot data anomalies

    • Assist with ad-hoc marketing campaign analyses, mining for deep insights that will drive business results and inform strategic planning and optimization

    • Ensure data integrity by leveraging media analytics reporting suites (Adobe, Google Analytics, Campaign Manager, Datorama, Tableau, The Trade Desk platform and other digital analytics tools)

    • Participate in improvement projects to revamp existing tools and appropriately beta test them internally and with clients

    • Help with generating Test plans and collaborating with Ad Operations to ensure accuracy of tagging and reporting

  • Contribute to Solution Creation

    • Strategic analytics lead on key pieces of client business; owning measurement plan development, methodology execution, insight presentation to the internal teams and clients

    • Collaborate with agency account teams to identify opportunities for solutions and translate into analytics requirements and end deliverables

    • Understand client business and marketing goals, and translate into appropriate optimization and/analysis techniques

    • Support design/develop analytics and optimization plans

    • Actively manage workload; requirements, deliverables and timing

    • Work to integrate new tools and stay on top on industry trends in Analytics to best support Media Planners

  • Develop strong partnerships and collaboration with internal team member and clients.

    • Present project specific findings to internal and client team members and collect feedback to refine future analysis

    • Actively listen to needs of others to understand and provide accurate information or solutions

  • Support the Analytics team

    • Set up and maintain client campaign tracking, data collection, and client reporting

    • Prepare presentation slides, analytic reports and other visualizations

    • Leverage a variety of internally maintained analytics tools and present recommendations based on the results

    • Prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and adapt to changes quickly

What makes a great senior analyst at our agency?

Mandatory

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, statistics), Business/Marketing or Computer Science

  • 3+ years’ experience with advertising platforms and their respective datasets

  • Knowledge of digital and offline analytics and reporting

  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel

  • Intimate knowledge of web analytics tools (i.e., Google Analytics, Adobe, Webtrends)

  • Dashboard software mastery (Datorama, PowerBI or Tableau)

  • Proficient statistical programming skills (R, SQL, or Python)

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication, and presentation skills

  • Collaborative team member with a natural sense of curiosity

  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
