UI Designer for Motion
The Role
A screen built for everyday use rarely works in a film. There’s too much on it, nothing pulls your eye, and the workflow takes too long to explain.
Your job is to find what matters and make it land in seconds. You’ll dig into an AI product, dev tool or dashboard, and decide how to show it. Sometimes that means simplifying a screen. Sometimes it means inventing a visual metaphor that explains the idea better than the UI ever could.
You’ll work in Figma. No websites, no UX roadmaps. Just visual storytelling with real products.
What You'll Actually Do
- Learn the product from the script and the client’s UI, and find what the viewer needs to see.
- Storyboard the film so the scenes flow as one story, not a stack of screenshots.
- Design the frames, using type, composition and hierarchy to simplify dense UI and guide the eye.
- Present your thinking, take direct feedback and push the work further.
What you’ll bring
Motion experience is a plus, not a must. You don’t need to animate. You do need to be curious about how a still design turns into movement, and keen to learn it alongside our motion designers.
- A strong UI portfolio that shows your own judgment, more than just your ability to follow a design system.
- A sharp eye for typography, spacing, composition and hierarchy. When one screen fills the whole frame, every detail shows.
- The ability to simplify a complex product without turning it into generic boxes and charts.
- Figma fluency, with files someone else can open and understand.
- Clear communication. You can explain a decision, ask the right question and act on feedback.
- Comfort jumping between products and styles without the work getting sloppy.
Why Represent
- Work that ships: launch films for the hottest tech companies, live within weeks.
- Growth in “AI years”: every project is a new product and a new visual problem.
- Learn motion by doing it: you work with our motion designers from the first sketch.
- No ceiling: flat team, best idea wins. Anton joined as an editor and now runs production.
How to apply
Send us the three projects that best show your UI and visual judgment. Tell us what you owned and design decisions you’re proud of. Got motion work? Send it too, but strong UI is what we’re really looking for.
Then tell us about one product you use every day, and what you’d redesign first.
