Social Media and Content Specialist

Job description

The Social Media & Content Specialist is a strategic content creator and digital storyteller who drives RMS's online presence through compelling, data-driven content across multiple channels. This role combines social media expertise with content marketing capabilities including blog writing, SEO strategy, newsletter management, and agency coordination.

You'll thrive here if you're equally comfortable writing long-form content and crafting punchy social posts, understand how to optimize for both Google and AI platforms, can manage external agencies while maintaining brand voice, and bring a data-driven approach to everything you do.

What You'll Be Doing
Social Media Management

  • Develop and implement social media strategies across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok with a clear roadmap for growth

  • Own and manage a content calendar planned at least one month in advance across all channels

  • Create platform-specific content that is timely, engaging, and aligned with RMS's brand voice

  • Actively engage with audiences, respond to comments and messages, and build community relationships

  • Monitor trends and algorithm changes to bring fresh, innovative ideas to content and formats

  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistent and professional communication across all platforms

Content Creation & SEO

  • Research, write, and publish high-quality blog articles (minimum 2โ€“4 per month) covering industry topics, product features, customer stories, and thought leadership

  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices including on-page optimization, meta descriptions, and internal linking

  • Structure content with AI-friendly formatting including clear summaries, statistics, and scannable sections

  • Collaborate with designers and video editors to produce multimedia content

Newsletter Management

  • Own the end-to-end newsletter program including strategy, content planning, writing, design coordination, and distribution

  • Manage the newsletter calendar in alignment with product launches, campaigns, and company milestones

  • Analyze and report on open rates, click-through rates, and conversions with recommendations for improvement

Agency Liaison & Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external creative and SEO/content agencies

  • Develop clear briefs, provide feedback, and ensure deliverables meet brand standards

  • Manage agency timelines, budgets, and performance in partnership with the Senior Content Marketing Manager

Analytics & Performance

  • Track and analyze performance across social, blog, SEO, and newsletters

  • Provide regular reports with actionable insights to marketing leadership

  • Monitor competitor content strategies and industry benchmarks

Platform Innovation & AI

  • Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm changes, and SEO trends

  • Identify opportunities to implement automation and AI-assisted workflows across content production

  • Lead the exploration and launch of new content formats and distribution channels

  • Proactively test new ideas and share results with the wider team


What You'll Bring

  • 3โ€“5 years of experience in content marketing, social media management, or digital marketing, preferably in SaaS or B2B technology

  • Proven ability to create engaging content across multiple formats โ€” social posts, blogs, newsletters, and more

  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly

  • Solid understanding of SEO principles including keyword research and on-page optimization

  • Experience with social media management tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Buffer

  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and email marketing tools

  • Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into action

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Experience collaborating with or managing external agencies or freelancers

  • Hands-on experience with AI productivity tools and a curiosity for emerging technology

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of GEO concepts and AI-powered search platforms

  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar marketing automation platforms

  • Experience in hospitality, property management, or SaaS sectors

  • Understanding of content design principles and ability to brief designers effectively

  • Experience writing for global, multi-regional audiences
