Role: Director of Growth (AI & GTM)

We’re looking for a forward-thinking, execution-oriented Director of Growth (AI & GTM) to lead Saltbox’s growth engine across digital acquisition, performance marketing, and AI-powered GTM strategies. This hybrid role blends performance marketing leadership, martech strategy, and AI-native growth hacking. You’ll own and scale acquisition programs while unlocking new 10x opportunities across paid media, lifecycle marketing, outbound GTM, and content through intelligent use of AI tools and systems.

This role is ideal for a modern growth leader who can think strategically and execute with speed—someone with a deep grasp of performance marketing fundamentals and the technical creativity to build AI-augmented systems that drive scalable outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Paid & Performance Marketing Leadership

  • Lead paid acquisition strategy across Google, Meta, and emerging channels (Reddit, YouTube, influencer, etc.)

  • Manage media agencies and vendors, optimizing for CAC, LTV, and ROI

  • Build dynamic segmentation strategies using 1P data, lookalikes, and intent signals

  • Rapidly test creative variations, audience cohorts, and messaging to increase efficiency

AI-Driven Growth & GTM Innovation

  • Implement AI in growth marketing workflows

  • Use generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper) to 10x content production for landing pages, outbound email copy, ad creative, and localized campaigns

  • Deploy AI SDR and outbound tools (Smartlead, Instantly, Clay, PhantomBuster) for scalable prospecting and lead nurturing

  • Build automation workflows for campaign personalization at scale

  • Continuously test and adopt new AI and martech innovations

Conversion Rate Optimization & Website Experience

  • Own CRO strategy across website and landing pages

  • Personalize site experience using geo-data, UTM segmentation, and firmographics

  • Design and run A/B tests across key conversion points

Lifecycle, Outbound, and Multi-Channel Campaigns

  • Partner with Demand Gen to optimize lifecycle nurture journeys across email, SMS, and in-product touchpoints

  • Lead outbound growth motions through AI-assisted research and targeting

  • Build influencer, referral, and affiliate strategies for local markets

Experimentation & Channel Expansion

  • Build a structured experimentation roadmap across SEO, outbound, social, lifecycle, and referral

  • Develop a clear learning agenda and agile test-and-learn systems

Localized Growth & Community Awareness

  • Collaborate with Community and Field Marketing on local activation and city-by-city GTM strategies

  • Optimize channel mix by geography

Analytics, Martech & AI Stack Ownership

  • Partner with Growth Ops to build dashboards for CAC, LTV, funnel performance, and ROI

  • Drive martech innovation, including AI integrations and automation tools

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor junior growth marketers and agency partners

  • Partner cross-functionally with content, demand gen, community, product, and sales

  • Balance vision-setting with day-to-day campaign execution

What We’re Looking For

  • 6–10 years in growth marketing, performance marketing, product marketing, product management, or demand generation

  • Proven success scaling paid acquisition programs (Google, Meta) and optimizing website performance

  • Deep familiarity with AI tools for marketing workflows (ChatGPT, Jasper, Smartlead, Clay, Midjourney, ElevenLabs, Notion AI, etc.)

  • Experience building outbound motions using AI-powered GTM tools

  • Proficiency in lifecycle/email marketing and lead nurture programs (Hubspot or similar)

  • Track record of running multi-channel growth experiments with clear measurement

  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with dashboard-building experience

  • Hands-on with campaign execution, tools, and testing

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, fast learner, creative thinker

Bonus Experience:

  • SEO, influencer marketing, or affiliate programs

  • Localized marketing or geo-targeted campaigns

  • Experience with warehouse, logistics, or real estate-adjacent brands

  • Startup or high-growth environment experience

Base Salary Range: $150k–$170k (tailored to role, level, and location).
