Head of Strategic Accounts

Scope3 is the industry’s leading collaborative sustainability platform. By modeling the complex digital advertising supply chain, we help brands measure and dramatically reduce digital waste to reduce carbon emissions from advertising and increase the efficacy of advertising investment.

We’re a well-funded startup with an accomplished leadership team — many of whom designed and engineered the digital advertising landscape as we know it today. The company secured $20M in Series B funding led by GV in Oct 2023 (additional investors include Venrock, Rucker Park, Room40 Ventures, and Craft Ventures). Scope3 has significant market traction with more than 70+ customers and is experiencing accelerated growth.

About the role …

As someone who cares about the environment, you will be fully responsible for overseeing the success of Scope3 products and solutions for a portfolio of our most strategic customers. Reporting directly to the Leader of Scope3’s AdTech Platform Business, this role will be highly influential in driving forward Scope3’s relationships with the world’s largest, most complex global platforms in the ad-tech ecosystem.  You will help them navigate the emerging world of sustainable advertising, helping them measure and reduce their carbon emissions.  You will evangelize the deal across the senior levels of the organizations and ensure ongoing success and expansion of the partnership.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a start- up environment, be an AdTech domain expert and the executive presence to effectively work with our clients’ senior leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Have responsibility for the success and expansion of Scope3’s most strategic partnerships across the world’s leading AdTech platforms, publishers & data companies.

  • Establish and grow senior level relationships across the partners and become the trusted go-to  resource for any and all partnership needs and information on sustainable advertising

  • Maximize the opportunity within each partnership to ensure broadest adoption and understanding of Scope3 solutions within and across the partner organization.

  • Identify ways to build the partnerships for mutual success and revenue. 

  • Provide thought-leadership to partners on the environmental challenges in programmatic advertising and how they can be overcome.

  • Partner with internal teams (commercial, product, marketing and other supporting functions) on behalf of customers, helping solve problems in the short-term while contributing to long-term solutions that can benefit Scope3’s entire book of business. 

  • Build a team as the business grows to deliver on your charter. 

  • Become an expert in Scope3’s products. Effectively communicate the company’s mission, value proposition and vision 

  • Become an expert on sustainability in ad-tech and evangelize the mission of decarbonizing media and advertising through industry events, blog posts and client events, and more. 

  • Drive, build, and nurture a corporate culture consistent with Scope3’s mission and values.

Your experience:

  • A consistent track record of strategic account management, supporting, growing and renewing large, complex partnerships, meeting and exceeding targets.

  • An entrepreneurial leader. We are still working through aspects of the business model and product opportunities, which requires flexibility and an innovation mindset to hear market needs and adapt to them.

  • Ad tech ecosystem expert. Exceptional working knowledge around ad tech, SSPs, DSPs and the programmatic landscape, as well as with data companies.

  • Experience independently conducting executive business reviews, by preparing all relevant data and delivering it effectively to a diverse group of stakeholders.

  • Have a well-established network and credibility as an industry expert.

  • Educator / Evangelizer. We need to teach the market how sustainable advertising works.

  • A high level of intelligence, able to grasp and solve complex business issues quickly and creatively.

  • Comfortable in a dynamic and evolving landscape and in a start up organization.

  • Excellent communication skills: writing, collaborating, negotiating, persuading, public speaking and listening.
