Summary:

The Technical Sourcer is a recruiting specialist who is focused on bringing in candidates and building a strong candidate pipeline of highly skilled engineers. They build an extensive “Talent Pipeline" and work in parallel with the TA Partner and hiring managers to ensure a strong flow of technical talent for the company.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Sourcing

  • Proactively source and identify qualified candidates for specialized technical roles (e.g. Automation Engineers, MES Engineers)

  • Collaborate with the TA Partner to align sourcing efforts with the most urgent hiring priorities, adjusting search strategies based on feedback and market realities

  • Leverage creative sourcing methods including but not limited to, Cold Calling, LinkedIn, Zoom info industry forums, meetups, alumni networks, and direct outreach

  • Build and nurture a pipeline of potential technical talent for current and future needs, keeping high-quality prospects engaged even before a position opens

Candidate Screening

  • Initiate contact and conduct initial screening calls to assess candidates’ technical skills and basic culture fit.

  • Act as a Skellig brand ambassador in all candidate interactions: craft compelling outreach messages about Skellig’s mission and culture, and ensure timely, professional follow-up so every candidate has a positive impression

  • Document all sourcing activities and candidate interactions in the ATS Record sources, conversation notes, and status updates in real time so the recruiting team has visibility and no candidate is overlooked.

  • Present succinct summaries of qualified candidates to the TA Partner on a weekly basis for next steps

External Positioning

  • Provide market insights on the technical talent landscape – e.g. where target candidates work, salary benchmarks, or emerging in-demand skills – to help set realistic hiring expectations

  • Boost Skellig’s presence in the various online communities by participating in networking events, online forums, or meetups related to the field. Share appropriate content about Skellig and help position the company as an employer of choice among engineers
