Growing Website in the Men's Lifestyle space seeks a full-time senior publishing editor to support various editing tasks, including but not limited to, running a final grammar and structure check, publishing content to the site with consistency, and injecting true personality into our posts.

This is an opportunity for the candidate, who meets the requirements to work with a large & growing men’s lifestyle web publication and with a team of exceptional and diverse writers.

About the Role

This Senior Editor role is crucial to maintaining our high-bar content and ensuring content reaches the site on time, every time. You will be responsible for reviewing formatted content on a daily basis, and ensuring the content not only meets editorial standards, but is formatted correctly to meet SEO best practices and article expectations.

You’ll work directly with our Content Manager & existing editorial team.

You’ll be brought up to speed on our entire editorial process & procedures and understand exactly how you fit into this process.

Our team communicates using Slack & Asana for editorial assignments/processing.

You’ll be responsible for reviewing/finalizing each piece of content for publication (upwards of 60-90 posts/month) in order to ensure a proper, site-consistent tone & voice. You’ll also focus on making each piece factual, aligned with our SEO best practices, valuable, engaging & entertaining to read.

You’ll start ASAP in this role. The role will start off part-time, in order to really develop skills in the role with ample ability to scale up. 

Onboarding and Training

If hired, you’ll work directly with the Content Manager to learn the ropes of the editorial publishing process & hone the site’s voice & tone.

Day to Day

  • You’ll receive and review final drafts. Following, you’ll make edits to content formatted on WordPress to ensure top-quality content is published to the site (link editing, adding content, rearranging, etc.).

  • You’ll use Asana, Slack & Email to communicate with other team members. 

Who You Are

You’ll be an experienced and organized Editor in the Web Publishing industry capable of expertly publishing 90+ (2500+ word) posts each month.


  • Expert communication skills with an exceptional grasp of written & spoken English (Fully Fluent & Conversational).

  • Citizen of one of the following countries: US, UK, Canada, Belize, New Zealand, or Australia

  • Expertise in editing and optimizing blog posts in various styles (e.g., listicles, informational, product reviews, etc.).

  • Witty tone and humorous slant to spice up bland writing and integrate brand tone.

  • Self-starter and self-motivated perfectionist who loves finding and correcting errors.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation in all content produced. Include the phrase "Meticulous attention to detail" at the start of your application reply.

  • Mastery of time management to get through a large volume of work and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with cross-functional team members while constantly communicating personal progress and needs for assistance to ensure all deadlines are met.

  • Experience with Software Tools such as Slack, Asana, WordPress & Google Docs

  • SEO background - w/experience correctly formatting/structuring Heading Tags & Keywords for SEO.

Hiring Process

Qualified candidates will be provided an Editing Trial for review by our founders & Content Manager. Selection of a candidate for hire will take between 1 & 2 weeks.
