Freelance Videographer (Parental Leave Cover) Contract - UK
The Role
The Instruments team at Splice, spanning Spitfire Audio and Splice Instrument, is looking for an experienced freelance videographer to cover a planned parental leave from mid-July 2025. This is a hands-on, end-to-end production role. You'll own the shoot calendar across H2, one of our busiest content periods of the year, and work closely with our in-house editor to deliver video creative across campaigns, artist projects, and product launches.
You'll be the primary videographer on set and in the studio, responsible for everything from pre-production logistics through to delivering polished footage for our editor to work with.
What you'll be doing
Planning and directing shoots across a busy H2 calendar, including campaign content, artist stories, and product walkthrough videos. You'll brief and direct talent, manage shoot logistics and equipment, and run multi-day location shoots independently when needed.
You'll lead product photography sessions alongside video work, and produce video ad creative and social video assets for major commercial campaigns.
Working closely with our in-house editor, you'll give him the footage and directorial brief he needs to cut and deliver content on schedule.
You'll also take over day-to-day management of our freelance editing capacity.
What we're looking for
A seasoned videographer with a strong narrative eye and genuine comfort running shoots independently, from a single studio session to a multi-day location shoot.
Equally confident directing talent and handling product photography.
Experience producing video ad creative for digital campaigns is important, as is the ability to manage a busy production calendar without much hand-holding.
Familiarity with the music technology space, sample libraries, virtual instruments, and the world of composers and sound designers, is a bonus.
An interest in music and a feel for the creative community we serve goes a long way.
You'll need to be London-based and available to start mid-July for a structured handover period before the current videographer goes on leave.
Logistics
Duration: 7 months (approx. August 2026 – Feb 2027)
Location: London (studio-based and location shoots as required)
