The Role

We are seeking a Senior Motion Designer to lead the creation of high-level motion graphics and animation projects across various digital platforms. In this role, you will report directly to the Lead Motion Director, collaborating closely on creative vision and execution while also guiding and mentoring mid-level and junior motion designers. You will work on a range of content—branding, social media campaigns, product demos, and interactive experiences—ensuring that every piece meets both the client’s goals and the studio’s standards of creativity and innovation.

As a Senior Motion Designer, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the visual language of our marketing and social campaigns. The majority of your work will focus on crafting dynamic, eye-catching content for social media, product launches, and brand moments — from snappy animations to high-impact campaigns that go viral. You’ll also contribute to larger hero videos or cinematic assets throughout the year, while ensuring that all our assets drive engagement.

Responsibilities

  • First mover: You will have a pivotal role in establishing a world-class design studio from the ground up.

  • Conceptualization & Creative Direction: Collaborate with the Lead Motion Director to develop and refine creative concepts for motion design projects. Participate in early ideation sessions to propose unique approaches to storytelling and visual execution that resonates in a digital-first, social-led world.

  • High-Level Motion Design & Animation: Produce advanced animations and motion graphics, handling complex sequences and transitions that elevate the overall production quality. Broad range of design and animation techniques, from 2D and 3D animation to compositing and visual effects.

  • Marketing-Driven Motion Design: Design and animate a high volume of short-form content for social media and marketing campaigns — optimized for performance, brand storytelling, and cultural relevance. Think punchy visuals, scroll-stopping animations, and motion assets that convert.

  • Storyboarding & Visual Storytelling: Craft detailed and visually engaging storyboards that effectively communicate creative ideas and project narratives. Translate concepts into dynamic animations with a strong emphasis on audience engagement.

  • Brand Consistency & Innovation: Ensure that all motion outputs align with brand guidelines and project objectives, while exploring creative possibilities that push boundaries. Drive innovation by staying updated on the latest motion design trends, tools, and techniques, sharing insights with the wider team.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with producers, graphic designers, copywriters, and other creative stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of motion elements into broader campaigns.Interpret storyboards, scripts, and style frames, translating them into dynamic animations that resonate with target audiences.

  • Quality Control & Efficiency: Review and refine motion designs before final delivery, ensuring polished outcomes that meet both creative and technical standards.Identify and implement opportunities to streamline the production process, optimizing workflows for the entire motion design team. decisions and create user experiences that meet both user needs and business goals.

  • Innovation and Trendsetting: Be a leader in motion design trends and experimentation, technologies, and best practices, integrating new ideas and approaches into our design process.

Must haves

  • 5+ years of professional experience in motion design, animation, or a related field, with a track record of delivering high-quality work.

  • Mastery of Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender, or other 3D software is strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.

  • A strong sense of design for distribution — understanding what performs on social, how to stop the scroll, and how to craft visuals that build community and attract new users.

  • Experience with brand-focused motion graphics, creating content that adheres to and extends brand guidelines.

  • Problem-solving mindset, able to adapt creative solutions to shifting project constraints and timelines.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas and technical details to team members and stakeholders.

  • A constant desire to be recognised for your work and strive for top industry awards.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

  • Clear experience and understanding of web3 technologies and blockchain principles — this can be learnt.

  • A genuine desire to add to the design world and establish Superduper as a design leader in the world of Web3
