Role: Human Resources Manager

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive HR Generalist to join our team and support a wide range of human resource functions. This role will focus on employee relations, compliance, performance management, training coordination, and day-to-day HR operations to ensure an excellent employee experience and alignment with company policies. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns; support conflict resolution and promote a positive workplace culture. 

  • Policy Implementation: Interpret and enforce HR policies and procedures; assist with updates to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.

  • Performance Management: In conjunction with Senior Director implement and support the administration of performance reviews and goal-setting processes; guide managers on best practices. 

  • Training & Development Coordination: Assist in organizing training programs, tracking participation, and managing employee development initiatives. 

  • Compliance & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in accordance with legal requirements and internal policies. 

  • HRIS Management: Administer and update the HR information system; generate reports and ensure data integrity. 

  • Benefits Administration: Assist with the coordination of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, education, and problem resolution. 

  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage administrative tasks related to employee onboarding and exit processes, including documentation, orientation, and final pay coordination.

  • Employee Engagement: In conjunction with Senior Director implement and participate in the planning and execution of initiatives that foster employee morale and engagement. 

SKILLS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience 

  • Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices in NY and CA

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Proficiency with Justwork platform, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
