Senior Marketing Project Manager
As thatgamecompany continues to grow and innovate, we're looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Project Manager to project manage various marketing initiatives across the globe. This is an exciting role as you will be part of a dynamic team to innovate, implement and project manage our global expansion efforts. You will be working closely with our game development team, publishing team and operations team, ensuring that we all grow together with and in alignment with our organization’s vision. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer and Production Director.
Job Description
This role is perfect for a dynamic seasoned manager who combines project management prowess with a deep understanding of marketing strategies. Your mission will be to execute on our marketing initiatives from conception to fruition, ensuring they're delivered on time, within budget, and above expectations.
This position requires a proven expertise in all sides of marketing, from strategic planning to hands-on execution, exceptional attention to details and project management excellence, excellent communication and negotiating skills, as well as creative problem solving and entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Execution: Lead the planning, resourcing, and execution of marketing strategies across all platforms, collaborating closely with both in-house teams and external partners, including but not limited to
UA campaigns
Influencer campaigns
PR campaigns
Community activities
Merchandise support
Communication: Serve as the primary liaison, ensuring clear and consistent communication between all stakeholders, aligning project objectives, and fostering positive productive relationships.
Project Oversight: Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables with an unwavering commitment to quality and efficiency.
Performance Analysis: Utilize project performance metrics to identify improvement areas, making data-driven decisions to enhance outcomes and optimize marketing results.
Team Collaboration: Strengthen the synergy between Development & Publishing teams, crafting unified strategies that elevate our brand and market presence.
Must Haves
Experience: At least 8 years in a Marketing Project Manager or Product Manager role within the game development or publishing industry, showcasing a broad expertise in executing diverse marketing initiatives.
Project Management Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage a portfolio of complex projects with precision and authority.
Communication Excellence: Outstanding communication skills, capable of designing and leading sessions that harness diverse perspectives to achieve clear, impactful outcomes.
Change Catalyst: A positive force for change, dedicated to enhancing company culture and embracing an entrepreneurial mindset.
Gaming Passion: A genuine love for gaming, aligned with thatgamecompany’s vision, and authorization to work in the U.S.
Nice to Haves
Industry Experience: Prior role as a game producer, especially on live games, with familiarity in mobile, free-to-play, or social gaming sectors.
Community Engagement: Active engagement with "Sky: Children of the Light" or similar gaming communities.
Language Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin, enhancing our ability to connect and collaborate with a global team and market.

Salary range from $125,000 to $150,000. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
