Fact Checker for Spanish Editorial (full-time)

Job responsibilities:

• Check the article's compliance with Editorial guidelines and legacy policies;

• Check the legality of each image in the article;

• Check whether there is permission from the copyright holder if a request to the licensing department is necessary or if the photo belongs to the author himself;

• Check each fact and references to authoritative sources, whether the author distorts the information, and whether we can consider this source reliable;

• Suggest edits to the author, opens reworks, and checks the article after the rework until it is ready for publication;

• Help updating the list of people, links, movies etc blacklisted;

• Support internal Fact-Checking projects when needed.

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of Spanish language;

• Good command of English language;

• At least 1 year of experience in editorial fact-checking or content writing;

• Familiarity with SEO best practices and understanding how to fact-check for online content;

• Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills;

• Readiness to complete a test task and pass an online interview in English.
