The Big Picture:
We are seeking a highly skilled, agile Instructional Designer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality learning experiences in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. This role partners closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and coaches to translate complex business and compliance needs into clear, engaging, and outcomes-driven learning solutions.
The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of instructional design expertise, project management discipline, stakeholder collaboration, and execution speed. You are detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and comfortable owning multiple projects simultaneously while adapting quickly as priorities evolve.
What You'll Do:
Learning Design & Development
Apply adult learning principles to design practical, engaging, and outcomes-driven learning experiences
Research, gather, organize, and translate content into effective learning assets using tools such as:
Articulate Storyline
Articulate RISE 360
Canva
Establish measurable learning objectives and success criteria for every deliverable
Incorporate knowledge checks and assessments to evaluate learner comprehension and effectiveness
Design and develop a variety of learning assets, including:
Presentations for all levels of the organization (Beautiful.ai, PowerPoint, Google Slides)
Detailed facilitator guides (Train-the-Trainer / T3)
Clear, easy-to-follow job aids and SOPs
Microlearning videos demonstrating new vs. old processes and how-to guidance
Blended learning solutions, including self-paced modules, assessments, review materials, and accountability mechanisms
Communication & Enablement
Deliver clear, concise written and verbal communication to stakeholders, SMEs, learners, and leaders
Translate complex or ambiguous stakeholder needs into actionable, compliant learning solutions
Proactively communicate project status, risks, and timelines to stakeholders and the Learning Solutions team
Partner closely with SMEs to:
Gather requirements
Validate content accuracy
Ensure alignment with business and regulatory needs
Actively manage SME relationships by setting expectations, timelines, and deliverables
Project Management
Own learning projects end-to-end, from intake through revisions, delivery, and ongoing maintenance
Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong prioritization and timeline discipline
Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining quality and deadlines
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Establish and maintain processes for:
Version control
Document accuracy
Secure distribution of learning assets
Ensure stakeholders always have access to the most current, approved materials—especially in environments without a centralized knowledge base
Maintain high standards of:
Accessibility
Accuracy
Clarity
Visual quality
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions proactively
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, E-Learning Technology, Education, Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of corporate instructional design experience, preferably within:
Legal
Medical
Financial services
Or other highly regulated industries
Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies
Exceptional organizational, editing, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to simplify complex or ambiguous requests into clear, compliant learning solutions
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate progress effectively
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and resolve them quickly
Proven reliability and availability to work remotely for a standard 40-hour workweek
Availability between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM in Mountain, Central, or Eastern Time Zones

The pay range for this role is:
85,000 - 95,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
