We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to assist in preparing and organizing daily business transactions. This position requires communication across all departments when necessary and interactions with outside vendors and banks. To be successful in this role, the candidate should be self-motivated and detail-oriented, have an understanding of basic accounting concepts, and be proficient in Excel.

The Role, along with everything you’d expect
Perform day-to-day general accounting and other related duties for the organization
Timely process a high volume of payout transactions with accuracy, including data entry, review, and/or reconciliation of records within multiple banking and financial systems
Provide oversight and direction to data entry processors
Update daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and reconciliations as required
Process and assist with chargebacks
Maintained detailed records and ensured timely processing of transactions, including but not limited to credit cards, accounts payable, and employee reimbursements.
Assist with ad hoc reporting/projects as needed
The Ideal Candidate
Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required
Experience in a similar accounting position or internship is preferred but not required
Knowledge and/or experience in banking systems and applications, as well as bank reconciliations preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
