New Job! Remote Job
Company

Product Manager

At Upland Software, you’ll find smart, creative teams who love working together to deliver value for our customers, and a global culture of growth and possibility. Our operating model has always supported remote work—and as we keep growing and evolving our workplace, that won’t change. We’re passionate. We’re proactive. We take pride in our work, and we love a good challenge. Sound like you?

Upland’s BA Insight is looking for an innovative, dynamic, and experienced Product Manager to join the team. In this pivotal role, you will drive the strategy and execution of our roadmap at an exciting point in the product’s evolution. You will leverage your deep product expertise, technical fluency, and collaborative nature to ensure our roadmap reflects both current and future demands to drive the product’s success.

What You’ll Do (Primary Responsibilities):

  • Own the product lifecycle: From problem discovery and user interviews to writing specs, managing delivery, and iterating after launch.

  • Contribute to north star strategy by partnering with senior leadership—bringing user insights, technical understanding, and market awareness to the table. While not the only final decision-maker, you’ll be expected to form strong opinions, communicate them clearly, and help influence the product's long-term vision.

  • Drive the roadmap, aligning user impact, business goals, and technical feasibility.

  • Partner closely with engineering to design and deliver deeply technical features—understanding trade-offs, clarifying edge cases, and collaborating on solutions.

  • Collaborate with sales and solutions teams to evaluate incoming feature requests and commitments made during the sales cycle—providing clear guidance on feasibility, timelines, and trade-offs to ensure we balance closing deals with delivering a sustainable, scalable product.

  • Engage with customers, prospects, and industry analysts regularly to understand user needs, workflows, and expectations—translating complex feedback into actionable product decisions and communicating where our product is going and how this aligns with market trends.

  • Stay sharp on competitive dynamics and evolving market trends—regularly scanning the shifting AI landscape and what our competitors are promoting, to inform our product direction, identify opportunities, and ensure we’re building toward where the market is going, not just where it is today.

  • Measure and iterate using data, feedback, and real usage insights.

Who You Are

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. MBA a plus.

  • You have 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in a complex, solutions-oriented environment where success depends on collaboration across teams.

  • Experience working within enterprise search, AI/ML-powered products, and/or within ecosystems like Microsoft, Amazon, and Google is a strong plus -- this includes knowledge of popular search platforms such as Azure AI Search, Microsoft Graph Elasticsearch, and AWS OpenSearch.

  • Exposure to large language models (LLMs), semantic search, Agentic AI or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) is also a major plus.

Desired Skills:

  • You're technically fluent—comfortable working with engineers, discussing APIs and architecture, and understanding system-level trade-offs.

  • You’ve owned the full product lifecycle: from discovery and defining specs to launch, iteration, and measuring success.

  • You’re an excellent communicator who keeps stakeholders informed, aligned, and focused—across engineering, sales, customer success, design, and leadership.

  • You're highly organized and dependable, able to keep multiple workstreams aligned across teams—ensuring the right people are informed, blockers are addressed, and nothing falls through the cracks.

  • You’re comfortable working with sales and solutions teams and know how to evaluate incoming requests without overcommitting the roadmap.

  • You bring a strong point of view to product strategy, even if you’re not the only decision-maker, and you back your perspectives up with user insights, technical understanding, and business context.

  • You are a visionary, stay current on market trends and competitive dynamics, and build with an eye toward where the industry is headed.

  • You're highly effective in a remote environment—self-directed, proactive, and great at keeping work visible and communication clear across multiple teams and time zones.
