Director, Development
About USA Football:
USA Football is the governing body of American football in the United States, the sole US member of the International Federation of American Football, and a recognized sports
organization of the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee. Its non-profit mission includes designing and delivering premier educational, development, and competitive programs for American football, including tackle and flag football. USA Football is the only organization that selects and organizes men’s and women’s US National Teams in federation-sanctioned international competition.
Summary/Objective
The Director, Development will support the development and administration of USA Football philanthropic efforts.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Builds, leads and executes USAFB’s annual fundraising plan to accelerate philanthropy over the next five years and beyond
Identifies and cultivates financial support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government.
Develops and maintains a portfolio of ongoing relationships with major individual and institutional donors
Stewards donor relationships through donor recognition and follow-up communications
Provides support to CEO in establishing and expanding major gift portfolios
Creates and executes donor cultivation and stewardship opportunities
Produces, in conjunction with USAFB Communication and Brand staff, marketing & communication activities such as annual report, website solicitation, social media outreach, and email campaigns.
Completes relationship mapping with Board Directors
Develops and tracks performance metrics tied to corporate fundraising goals in Salesforce CRM
Develops budget, in conjunction with CEO and Sr Director, Finance, for reaching fundraising goals
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience in Nonprofit Organizations, Development and/or Sales
10 years of Development Experience with direct, proven experience securing major gifts and seeking grants
20-25% travel
Preferred Education and Experience
Football knowledge and experience
As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, USA Football provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, etc. The pay range for this position is as follows: Min $95,608; Mid $129,200; Max $162,792.
This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Must meet requirements.

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, stooping, bending, and manual dexterity.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time remote position. This position requires standard work hours and some weekend work.
Travel
Approximately 15% of travel is required for this position.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits.
Salary range for this position is $95,608 - $162,792, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
