Freelance Linguist (EN)

HEY THERE!

We are currently looking for freelance US English language experts to support our translation or review efforts for app and web translation (UI and marketing), newsletters and recipes; the source language will be German. We offer a steady workload and the possibility of a long-term collaboration. You will be part of a supportive, close-knit team of dedicated freelance linguists all across the globe. If you’re familiar with nutrition and health topics and are an experienced linguist with a knack for transcreation, we would love to hear from you. 

This job is 100% remote.

YOUR MISSION

• Translate, transcreate, proofread and ultimately localize app and marketing content

• Translate cooking recipes and help us maintain our cooking term bases

• Provide linguistic and cultural insights

YOUR PROFILE

• US English native, full professional working proficiency in German

• Translation qualification with 3–5 years of translation experience

• Ability to translate/transcreate marketing content

• Excellent grammar and fluent writing style 

• Familiarity with nutrition and health topics

• Good time management and versatility 

• Professional approach and commitment to quality, even when working with tight deadlines 

• Able to understand and follow guidelines and instructions 

• Good eye for detail and ability to pay attention to multiple references 

• Cultural awareness for the locale you’ll be responsible for

• Familiarity with Phrase would be a big plus
