QA Lead Engineer

This role is crucial for our growth — you'll actively contribute to both testing and automation while building and scaling manual and automation QA processes, ensuring the highest product quality across platforms.

Tech stack:

• Frontend: Flutter, Dart

• Backend: NestJS, TypeScript, REST API

• Other: AWS (EC2, CloudFront, S3 as CDN), GitHub

Mission:

• Be a key technical QA expert leading hands-on testing and automation

• Ensure high software quality through deep testing and effective automation

• Improve QA processes and implement best practices

What you’ll do:

Manual Testing

• Perform hands-on testing across iOS, Android, frontend, and backend throughout the development lifecycle

• Identify, document, and track bugs in detail

• Proactively suggest optimizations and quality improvements

Automation

• Lead the writing and optimization of automated tests for Node.js, React, and Flutter

• Select and implement appropriate frameworks and tools

• Align technical decisions with other tech leaders

Documentation

• Develop and maintain all necessary QA documentation

• Enforce standards for Bug Reports, Test Plans, Test Cases, UAT, and Usability Testing

Process Building

• Participate in QA team planning

• Continuously improve QA workflows and practices

• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers

What you’ll need:

• 6+ years in QA (Manual + Automation), including 3 years in JavaScript automation (Cypress, Playwright, Jest) and 3 years in manual testing of web and mobile apps

• 2+ years of QA leadership experience (process setup, mentorship, team guidance)

• 2+ years of practical SQL experience (writing queries, validating data)

• Experience testing frontend, backend, mobile apps, and APIs (Postman and others)

• Proven experience in JavaScript/TypeScript test automation (including performance and security testing)

• Strong QA documentation skills (checklists, test cases, bug reports) and experience with Test Management Tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and bug tracking systems

• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with dev teams, PMs, and stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Experience with automated testing of Flutter apps (Appium, Flutter Driver, Patrol, Maestro)

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Professional QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB)

• Valid AWS certification

• English — Upper-Intermediate or higher
