Full-stack Engineer (PHP+React)

We are looking for a Full-stack Engineer (PHP + React) to join our project and work on transforming and modernizing an existing software system into its next-generation version.

Project

The product is a specialized software system designed to support the education and welfare of children in care. It provides real-time attendance tracking, personal education plan management, and secure data sharing among social workers, teachers, and local authorities. The platform emphasizes data security, compliance, and role-based access to ensure sensitive information is handled appropriately. Future developments include mobile app accessibility, AI-driven insights, and automated support features. With a strong track record and partnerships with over 100 local authorities, the platform is a trusted solution for managing complex educational and welfare needs.

You will be involved in transforming and modernizing the existing system into its next-generation version, focusing on long-term scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Expertise in PHP 8 and JavaScript frameworks, particularly React.js

• Strong proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3, with experience converting designs into responsive code

• Solid knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS, along with cloud best practices

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices

• Strong understanding of database design and optimization using MySQL and PostgreSQL

• Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks, including PHPUnit and Jest

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication abilities

• Minimum English proficiency level of B2 to collaborate effectively in a global team

• Proactive mindset with the ability to lead initiatives and drive solutions

• Analyzing the current architecture

• Implementing improvements using best practices and modern technologies

• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions
