What’s AniLive?
We develop and operate AniLive, a mobile streaming app specifically designed for virtual streamers and their fans in English-speaking countries.
On this platform, streamers can become "AniLivers" with their own avatars, allowing them to start streaming from "anytime, anywhere" and earn income. As viewers, the vertical streaming experience on AniLive enables them to enjoy communication with their favorite AniLivers from a close distance, experiencing a new level of engagement including various gift animations.
With the release of AniLive, our company aims to revolutionize the virtual streaming industry and bring more fun to the global anime/VTuber community!
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive HR manager to build and lead the HR team, collaborating closely with our CSuite and managers to develop and implement strategies for the global expansion of AniLive. Your role will foster an environment where team members excel and actively contribute towards fulfilling our mission.
What you will do
Strategy Planning
Collaborating with the CEO, CTO, CCO, and each manager to align HR strategies with the AniLive mission and objectives
Supporting managers proactively to achieve OKRs
Create a strategy for how to scale the organization within a tech startup
HR Team Establishment
Setting up adequate internal flows related to HR tasks
Managing members in the HR team
Recruitment and Onboarding
Create and refine the overall recruitment strategy and support recruiting efforts within the HR team as needed
Overseeing the onboarding process to ensure new members integrate well into the company
Culture Building and Employee Relations
Promoting a positive and inclusive company culture and system
Organizing team-building activities and fostering member engagement
Provide constant manager training, coaching, and enablement
What you will bring
Passion for the Japanese entertainment industry — anime, manga, gaming, VTubing... you must be an otaku!
Excitement to represent AniLive at networking events and to dive more into otaku culture
5+ years experience in an HR leadership role developing and building a team, bonus if you’ve created an HR division from scratch
You've experienced the growth phase within a tech company and enjoy the dynamics + fast-paced nature
Fluent or native level English is required
Business level Japanese language skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially in a remote and multicultural working environment
Experience using Notion, GSuite, Microsoft Office, Slack, and Zoom
Bonus Points
Previous work experience with a large time zone difference (our team primarily works within Asian Time Zone and US Time Zone)
Knowledge of technical recruiting strategies within the APAC region
