What’s AniLive?
We develop and operate AniLive, a mobile streaming app specifically designed for virtual streamers and their fans in English-speaking countries.
On this platform, streamers can become "AniLivers" with their own avatars, allowing them to start streaming from "anytime, anywhere" and earn income. As viewers, the vertical streaming experience on AniLive enables them to enjoy communication with their favorite AniLivers from a close distance, experiencing a new level of engagement including various gift animations.
With the release of AniLive, our company aims to revolutionize the virtual streaming industry and bring more fun to the global anime/VTuber community!
Position Summary
This manager role is about boosting revenue by using data-driven strategies to develop engaging content and in-app events that resonate with AniLive users. You’ll plan and execute strategy and for the Live Ops team and manage the Graphic team, and ensure our live and graphic operations run smoothly by collaborating other divisions such as the marketing, community, and partnerships divisions.
Your goal is to create a feedback loop that continuously improves user experiences and drives growth while bringing creative ideas to life.
What you will do
Develop and Implement Strategies: Create strategies and long-term roadmap for live operations, monetization, and in-app content, considering viewer and streamer expectations. Also, launch live in-app events based on trends, use data-driven analysis to optimize user retention, engagement, and revenue.
Resource and Project Management: Allocate resources, manage recruitment and onboarding, and ensure all milestones and deadlines are met. Coordinate efforts across teams to maintain project progress. Additionally, coordinate with different divisions (Product, Marketing, Community, and Alliance) to synchronize efforts and maintain progress.
Team managements: Lead and motivate the Live Ops and Graphic teams. Conduct regular meetings to update teams on project status and address any issues or roadblocks.
What you will bring
Passion for the Japanese entertainment industry — anime, manga, gaming, VTubing... you must be an otaku!
5+ years experience in the role, especially with free-to-play mobile games or live-streaming apps in Japan or APAC regions.
Deep understanding of monetization and event design, as well as engagement drivers in live service games or live-streaming apps
1+ year of experience managing a team of 5 people or more
Solid project management experience
Business level English and Japanese are required
Quantitative and analytical skills with an emphasis on metrics-driven experience
Experience using Notion, GSuite, Microsoft Office, Slack, and Zoom
Bonus Points
Work experience at startups and rapids growing companies
