Senior Director, Brand Marketing

We are seeking to hire an experienced senior marketing leader in the role of  Sr. Director of Brand Marketing.  This role will fulfill the organizational need for strategic brand marketing leadership encompassing core brand strategy through to brand communication activities including public relations, analyst relations, events, and awards.  

This person will be a part of defining our go-forward brand positioning and strategy, and will work cross-functionally with our Design and Content teams to ensure that brand creative executions align to master brand strategy. This person will also partner with our People and Culture teams as we grow and evolve our employer brand to ladder up to our brand mission, vision and values.

This leader will be versed in stakeholder management, budget and process management, cross-functional team leadership, agency management, and b2b go-to-market strategies. Additionally, this role will serve to unify and develop the marketing organization around common values and goals through mature leadership, functional expertise, and people management.

What you will do

  • Champion Articulate’s brand strategy across all touch-points, internal and external; rally and align the organization internally around the brand and marketing objectives.

  • Develop brand guidelines in collaboration with Design.

  • Provide strategic leadership for creative teams including decision authority (approval) on brand executions.

  • Support the design and implementation of a public relations and corporate affairs strategy to shape Articulate’s public profile.

  • Partner with external agencies and market research organizations to drive meaningful PR and AR activity.

  • Drive ROI on events and tradeshows strategy.

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to align product messaging to master brand strategy.

  • Recommend resource plan for brand  marketing needs through a combination of internal and sub-contracted resources.

  • Manage Director of Events

  • Manage PR, Analyst Relations, and Awards strategy with outside agencies and contractors.

What you should have

  • 10+ years working in Branding and Communications, 5+ within a B2B capacity

  • Expertise in evaluating creative work from idea stage all the way through to execution stage

  • Ability to expand on creative ideas to build seamless online and offline brand experiences that excite the customer throughout the journey.

  • Experience managing and guiding creative resources (internal & external), extrapolating vision to develop the best creative executions within a defined budget.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to bring new ideas and thinking to overcome obstacles with limited resources

  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written to clearly convey market dynamics, strategies, tactics, rationale and results, to peers, agency and c-suite audiences.

  • Results-orientation – ability to prioritize, execute, and drive results.

  • Marketing Industry savvy – demonstrate strong knowledge of marketing best practices and enthusiasm for emerging technology, trends, innovations, and competitors

  • Enjoy and thrive in a growth environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience; MBA preferred
