Email Marketing - Pod Leader
Hello my Dynamite Marketer :)
My client is a rapidly growing marketing agency specializing in the nonprofit sector.
Known for its dynamic and innovative approach, this agency has experienced exceptional growth by delivering tailored, high-impact solutions to its clients.
They are transitioning from a freelancer-based model to an in-house team, and this role will lead the charge in building and managing a dedicated email marketing "pod" to drive results and client satisfaction.
The role will work EST time Zone.
Role and Responsibilities:
My client is looking for a dynamic Email Marketing Manager to lead their email marketing strategy, execution, and client relationships.
This role goes beyond campaign management—it’s about building and leading a pod of resources (copywriters, graphic designers, developers, etc.), engaging directly with clients, and driving long-term value.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing, implementing, and executing high-performing email campaigns and automated flows to boost deliverability, donations, purchases, and retention.
Managing a pod of resources, including copywriters, graphic designers, and developers, to ensure seamless collaboration and top-quality outputs.
Engaging with clients to present results, manage expectations, and align campaigns with their goals, acting as their primary point of contact within the agency.
Leveraging email platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar) to optimize performance metrics like open rates, click-through rates, and average order value.
Driving measurable growth in client value over time by increasing revenue, donor contributions, and repeat engagement through strategic email initiatives.
Building and scaling the email marketing pod in collaboration with the agency, transitioning tasks from freelancers to a cohesive in-house team.
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in email marketing, with a proven track record of designing campaigns that drive revenue and engagement (nonprofit or e-commerce experience is a plus).
Expert-level knowledge of email marketing platforms and tools, with skills in automation, segmentation, and performance optimization.
Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally managing cross-functional teams or resources (e.g., copywriters, designers, developers).
Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to present results, manage expectations, and build trust with nonprofit stakeholders.
Analytical mindset to measure and improve campaign outcomes (e.g., ROI, conversions, donor retention).
Comfortable working remotely with consistent availability during Eastern Time Zone hours.
Cultural fit matters; candidates should be comfortable aligning with the client’s conservative-leaning values to ensure smooth collaboration.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Based in the Eastern Time Zone for seamless collaboration with the team and clients.
A flexible, results-driven leader with minimal scheduling conflicts (e.g., few family responsibilities).
A "all-in-one" professional: technically proficient, client-savvy, and capable of leading a team to success.
Experience in fast-paced environments where delivering measurable results and client satisfaction are top priorities.
