Our Ways of Working

We’re a remote-first company with team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees so people can get the work done in the way that suits them best. With rare exception, our employees generally work 9-5 in their home time zone.

We also know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to build community and collaboration, we gather in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These offsites are expected of employees and are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually.

What the Role Is

Our ideal candidate will be a strong individual contributor and engage across all project stages, using your skills in user research, design strategy, concepting, a full spectrum of low to high-fidelity UI design, prototyping, information architecture, workshop facilitation, and user testing.

Your greatest strength is UX Design, ensuring our users’ needs are central to the product development process. You’ll work across all three of our platforms (web, iOS, Android) while designing for multiple user groups (parent(s)-to-be and their gift givers).

  • Drive the end-to-end product design process. Whichever design process you employ, with it you move fast, and ship products that users love

  • Champion empathy for our users. You’ll command lean research methods to build expertise about what our users care most about, then you’ll speak happily on behalf of our users and work hard to ensure your collaborators understand them

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and the broader cross-functional landscape. You’ll not only build trust with others from your Design perspective but by the inclusion of your partners’ perspectives when you need it

  • Top-notch craftsmanship. Our users think our product works and feels great, and we only want it to get better. You’ll be a guardian to that mission

  • Cross-platform comfort. Our product spans responsive web and native environments. You’ll translate human-centered design thinking to UX and UI tailored for each
