Barbaricum seeks an experienced Data Scientist with a close understanding of data science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning to support the US Army's Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and  Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center and its Engineering and Systems Integration Directorate. Specifically, this position will play a leading role in supporting the effort to design, develop, and implement next-generation analytic capabilities across C5ISR domains including all-source, Electronic Warfare, Cyber Intelligence, Signals Intelligence, and Intelligence Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED).

 

The Data Scientist will integrate with an array of technical staff charged with developing and implementing quick reaction capabilities to fill the defense community's urgent needs and support end-user operational requirements. This team will develop and sustain complex system of systems architectures operating across multiple branches and operational theatres supporting National, Joint, and Tactical-level intelligence operations and domains.

 

The Chief Data Scientist will support the data management of enterprise-scale hardware and software systems for distributed military intelligence systems, utilizing data management strategies, tools, and priorities. This individual will oversee all data engineering, data synchronization, data replication, and interoperability for complex systems to form a holistic solution and will be essential in developing data strategies for all efforts under this program.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance

  • Have formal education, certificate or professional training in one of the following or equivalent:

  • 1. Associate Certified Analytics Professional (aCAP).

  • 2. Certification of Professional Achievement in Data Sciences.

  • 3. Certified Analytics Professional.

  • 4. Cloudera Data Platform Generalist.

  • 5. EMC Proven Professional Data Scientist Associate (EMCDSA).

  • 6. IBM Data Science Professional Certificate.

  • 7. Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate.

  • 8. Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate.

  • 9. Open Certified Data Scientist.

  • 10. SAS Certified Advanced Analytics Professional Using SAS 9.

  • 11. SAS Certified Data Scientist.

  • Have formal education, certificate, or professional training as a Statistician in one of the following or equivalent:

  • 1. Statistics Fundamentals with R Skill Track.

  • 2. Master Statistics with Python.

  • 3. American Statistical Association PStat® accreditation.

  • 4. MicroMasters® Program in Statistics and Data Science (MIT).

  • Current experience researching and integrating industry leading AI/ML and operationally deployed military analytics

  • Experience in applying AI/ML to current U.S Army projects

  • Seven years of experience in the design, integration, and analysis of military systems with data modeling, data architecture, data interoperability, and evaluation

Desired Qualifications

  • Five years of experience with data engineering, data synchronization, data replication, and interoperability for complex systems leveraging industry standard tools
