Senior Data Analyst, Growth Marketing

About Big Cartel…

Big Cartel is an e-commerce platform that gives creators, artists, makers, and small brands from all over the world the power to open their own online stores and make a living doing what they love. Since 2005, we’ve helped people sell over $3.5 billion of their work while remaining a 100% independent company. Driven by our passion for creativity and innovation, we stand as a haven for small brands connecting their passion with opportunity. As we love to say, “you don’t have to sell out to sell online”.

Senior Data Analyst

Big Cartel is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Growth Marketing Team in developing our leading e-commerce platform tailored for creators, artists, and independent business owners.

Reporting to the Head of Growth Marketing, the Senior Data Analyst will collaborate closely with the growth marketing team to drive user growth, improve retention, and expand revenue. This role demands a proficient level of expertise in data analysis, analytics, and reporting. The ideal candidate will collect, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative customer data. They should be comfortable with ad hoc analysis, dashboard creation, and possess a surface level technical grasp of database design and management to effectively collaborate with the data engineering team.

However, they will also conduct their own analysis, utilizing tools such as Excel, Tableau, and SQL, while navigating the complexities associated with evolving data architecture, visualization tools, and accessibility.
