Bixal has an exciting opportunity for a Senior UI Designer to join our team and help accelerate digital transformation for federal and international clients as they work to reach the Spanish-speaking/Hispanic community. You will be part of a cross-functional team applying human-centered innovation and effective communication strategies to improve engagement. In this role, you will support human-centered outreach and marketing activities and stakeholder engagement efforts across government, state and local entities, and non-partisan groups to ensure that benefits-related digital content for all USA.Gov outreach channels is accurate and features relevant information to the Spanish-speaking/Hispanic community. You will lead design efforts on projects and work closely with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, design intuitive user interfaces, and develop high-quality design solutions for our government clients.
Employment is contingent upon award and candidate eligibility, including successfully demonstrating the qualifications listed below. Because this position requires a Public Trust clearance, US Citizenship is required.

As appropriate, play an active role in new client acquisition by supporting business development initiatives to enhance and grow Bixal's business in each of the areas that it works.
Job Description
Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and developers to understand user needs and design intuitive and engaging user interfaces
Lead design efforts on projects, mentoring junior designers, and overseeing design quality
Work with project managers to ensure that design projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients
Build wireframes and user flows to test new ideas and visual concepts
Develop personas and journey maps to identify the most important functionality the audience of our product needs.
Create design prototypes, user flows, wireframes, and mockups to communicate design concepts and user interface behaviors for features and products
Design high-quality UI components, layouts, and interactions that meet user needs and support product goals
Combine UX thinking with design execution to produce usable, accessible and intuitive user interfaces.
Collaborate with developers to ensure that designs are implemented according to specifications, and that the final product meets design and quality standards
Create, select, optimize, and maintain logos, infographics, photos, interactive media, storyboards, screen flows and other graphical design elements for websites, marketing campaigns, and social media presence
Build, maintain, and evolve design libraries, UI components, and interaction standards
Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and techniques, and contributing to the innovation and experimentation in the design function
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, plus at least four years of relevant experience
Native or native-quality proficiency in Spanish
Demonstrated experience in UI design and UI design principles, with a portfolio of high-quality design work that demonstrates your skills
Experience leading design efforts on projects, mentoring junior designers, and overseeing design quality
Experience building mobile-first, with a demonstrated understanding of how design systems flex across platforms
Proven ability to work within established brand standards and design systems
Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
Understanding of HTML/CSS and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers
Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze user needs and translate them into design solutions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships with clients and stakeholders
Ability to pass and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
$105,000 - $115,000 a year
