Vice President of Business Operations

Directorie is seeking a Vice President of Business Operations to join the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the President. This role provides executive leadership across operations, finance, corporate communications, human resources, and information technology, ensuring alignment of systems, teams, and processes with the company’s strategic priorities.

This leader is responsible for driving operational efficiency, scalability, and organizational effectiveness while connecting strategy to execution. The role partners closely with the President and Executive Leadership Team to align resources, optimize performance, and support key initiatives across the business. Additionally, this position owns strategic financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management, ensuring informed, data-driven decision-making.

Overall, this role is critical to strengthening the operational foundation, financial discipline, and internal infrastructure required to support Directorie’s continued growth.

Vice President of Business Operations role, In Practice:

The Vice President of Business Operations partners closely with the President and Executive Leadership Team to connect strategy to execution across operations, corporate communications, human resources, and information technology and finance:

Operational Leadership

  • Lead and oversee the operations team, ensuring alignment with company strategy and priorities.

  • Drive continuous improvement of operational processes and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.

  • Align priorities across teams to support organizational goals and the President’s key initiatives.

  • Lead company-wide meetings and employee engagement initiatives in partnership with leadership.

Finance

  • Own and lead the monthly forecasting process, including forecast development, review cadence, and accuracy alignment with business performance and strategic objectives.

  • Oversee weekly and monthly utilization reporting, tracking performance against forecast.

  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.

Corporate Communications

  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute internal and external communications strategies.

  • Ensure consistent messaging aligned with the company’s vision, values, and strategic direction.

  • Oversee communications that support brand, engagement, and organizational alignment.

Human Resources

  • Oversee HR operations, including benefits, policies, and procedures, ensuring effective and compliant execution.

  • Partner on talent strategies that support employee experience, development, and retention.

Information Technology

  • Lead IT strategy and initiatives to enhance operational capabilities and streamline workflows.

  • Implement solutions that improve data visibility and enable data-driven decision-making.

Required qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, business management, or a related executive function, with scope across multiple internal business functions.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment across multiple organizational functions.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and improving operational processes, systems, and organizational infrastructure.

  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate company priorities into actionable operational plans.

  • Experience owning or overseeing financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret financial data and leverage insights to inform decision-making.

  • Experience planning and executing company events, leadership meetings, or large-scale internal initiatives.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with executive leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Experience overseeing or partnering closely with Human Resources and Information Technology functions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience managing internal or corporate communications initiatives.

  • Track record of leading organizational initiatives such as company-wide programs, employee engagement efforts, or change management initiatives.

  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Starting base salary range: $200,000 - $250,000 based on experience and qualifications, plus performance-based bonuses.
