Sr Demand Content Writer

Summary of the role:

We are looking for a storyteller who is equal parts journalist, content marketer, and copywriter to join our Growth Marketing team. In this role, you will ideate on and create content and copy tailored for developer audiences and marketing delivery channels. 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need an interest and ideally some technical knowledge of developer tools, you’ll need to understand how growth marketing and demand generation work, and you’ll need a relentless drive to try new things with an eye for detail. Your long-term success will depend on your ability to work closely with internal teams at Docker, who will help amplify and optimize your marketing content. Most importantly, you’ll need to be okay with taking ownership of big objectives with big goals, working autonomously, and maintaining a bias for considered action.

Responsibilities:

  • Influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders from sales, developer relations, product marketing, web, events, design, and marketing operations to generate compelling content to targeted personas throughout the user lifecycle.

  • Work across channels to create compelling content that reach our audiences where they are including: community forums, email, digital ads, video, web, in-product, virtual and in-person events, and other demand focused channels.

  • Work with Campaign Managers to a/b test content messaging and asset formats

Qualifications

  • 8 - 10 years of professional writing and editing experience especially in SaaS or  B2B/B2C software marketing campaigns.

  • Impeccable writing and editing skills (please share your portfolio or 3-5 writing/editing samples – can be editorial or brand journalism)

  •  Strong editorial judgment; ability to rapidly absorb complex ideas and distill them into accessible copy for global audiences

  • Strong interest in the developer space and developer tools.

  • Excellent communication skills (many of your interactions will be remote)

  • Ability to confidently and tactfully engage with engineers and subject-matter experts; skill at achieving consensus and moving projects forward

  • Exceptional organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage complex processes, and meet both short-term and long-term deadlines

  • Build consensus around new content strategies with relevant stakeholders on developer relations, customer success, operations, and product marketing.
