Web Product Manager

Summary of the role:

As the Web Product Manager (docker.com), you'll be at the nexus of technology, business, and operations. Docker is seeking a skilled individual to lead critical web marketing initiatives and new experience platforms Through Collaboration with cross-functional teams, you'll define the future of our web product and experience, ensuring scalability and addressing the business needs. Your pivotal role will contribute to the evolution and success of our website and user experience strategy. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, you'll play a pivotal role in driving Docker's web product strategy and roadmap - including localization and scaling support for internal customers - monitoring and optimizing site performance, maintaining and managing the content management system (WordPress), and web team processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft a compelling vision for the platform, backed by actionable roadmaps and operational insights, always prioritizing customer needs.

  • Lead the definition and launch of features and functionality tailored to meet the requirements of both end-users and internal users, drawing upon substantial experience in this domain.

  • Partner with marketing, operations, design, product management, and engineering to deliver platform capabilities that scale with our team and end-user experience.

  • Celebrate successes and navigate challenges, ensuring continuous improvements and delivering predictable projects.

  • Master the art of balancing long-term vision with short-term execution, inspiring action and constant iteration.

  • Define and track key user, business, and usage analytics data to measure platform success across user experience and business goals.

  • Lead the migration and onboarding of sites onto new platforms.

  • Implement new QA processes and scale QA through automation.

  • Celebrate successes and navigate challenges, ensuring continuous improvements and delivering predictable projects.

  • Master the art of balancing long-term vision with short-term execution, inspiring action and constant iteration.

  • Ensure marketing standards and processes are maintained and campaigns are tracked effectively and efficiently, leveraging data insights to drive informed decision-making.

  • Significant experience defining and launching features and functionality for both end-user and internal-user needs

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to prioritizing customer needs above all else, coupled with a fervent dedication to thoroughly understanding the requirements of both customers and partners.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 6+ years of prior experience in digital experience platforms, specifically CMS WordPress

  • 3+ years of experience defining and managing product roadmaps, working directly with engineering teams and developers, managing the QA process, and launching new products.

  • 2+ years of experience using and understanding web analytics, CRM, and segmentation tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Segment, Marketo, and Salesforce.

  • Understanding of marketing and social media marketing, UTM management, SEO, and SEM/paid advertising.

  • Track record of building relationships across an organization.

  • Strong understanding of global compliance and legal requirements.

  • Expertise with industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures such as tag management, web forms, A/B testing, etc.

  • Background and willingness to work in a sprint-based agile manner.

  • Proven success in implementing plans effectively in a matrix organization.

  • Experience resourcing and managing many projects at once.
