Social Media Content Creator - Freelance

We are looking for a social media content creator to produce and publish engaging and relevant social content for our legal information websites FindLaw.com, SuperLawyers.com, and LawInfo.com. This freelance role will work with our editors and writers to create and promote our content and brands through multiple social channels.

Millions of consumers and legal professionals turn to our websites to learn about legal topics, solve legal problems, get practice tips, and find lawyers. It’s your content that makes this happen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create engaging and relevant social media posts, including video and slideshow content, for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms

• Collaborate with editors and writers to tailor posts to the appropriate audience, from legal consumers to legal professionals

• Plan and schedule social media posts to maintain a consistent presence

• Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media channels

• Stay up to date with trending legal topics, social media content trends, and social media best practices

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role

• Professional-level use of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other social media channels

• Ability to use social monitoring and scheduling tools, such as Later, Hootsuite, Sprout, or similar

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to effectively engage with social users and de-escalate conflict

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once

• Ability to report on campaign performance data

• Knowledge of basic legal terminology and legal issues

• Experience working with legal content highly desired

• Ability to record yourself on camera for social video content

This is a 100% freelance position. Assignments, writing, editing, and submissions are all handled through our online systems.
