🚀 Why this role is different

At our core we’re a technology company, and our data is a first-class asset. Our accounts receivable and accounts payable are largely automated, so this isn’t a data-entry job. It’s a data-analysis one.

You’ll spend your time asking questions of the data and answering them yourself, then turning those answers into reports leadership actually uses.

You’ll support the finance function with analysis, reporting, and reconciliation. You’ll write SQL against our systems, build and improve management reports, and help us understand what’s really happening behind margins, freight bills, and claims.

✨ What you’ll actually do

📊 Build and improve management reports and the numbers leadership relies on
🔍 Write SQL to answer finance and operations questions directly from the data
📈 Analyse margins, freight costs, and trends, and explain what’s driving them
🧾 Support accounts receivable and accounts payable with reconciliation and analysis
📦 Dig into cargo claims and freight bill data to spot patterns and anomalies
⚙️ Improve the data and processes behind reporting, with engineering when needed

🎯 What we’re looking for

📊 Strong analytical skills and genuine comfort working with data
🗄️ Hands-on SQL and confidence querying data yourself
🔬 A data science or analytics background is a real plus
🤖 Experience using AI tools in your work, and eagerness to get more out of them
💻 Some coding experience (ideally, not required)
🧾 Experience with standard finance team functions such as AR, AP, bookkeeping, and reporting
💼 Experience with spreadsheets and reporting tools (Xero is easy to pick up, no prior experience needed)
🚛 Ideally knowledge of the freight or logistics industry
✍️ Excellent written and verbal English
🧩 Strong problem-solving and an eye for detail
⏱️ Sharp time management and comfort with modern software
