Job Title: Accountant

Introduction: This role supports both personal and business financial management for the CEO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing cash flow, preparing financial projections, and assisting with expense reporting and ad-hoc tasks. This is a part-time role requiring 5 hours per week, with the flexibility to work on your own schedule as long as tasks are completed reliably.

Responsibilities:

Weekly Tasks

  • Manage daily and weekly cash inflow and outflow.

  • Record business and personal expenses.

  • Generate and send project invoices; follow up on accounts receivable as needed.

  • Collaborate with Jackie’s personal assistant (PA) on expense payments and reimbursements.

  • Prepare the CEO’s weekly expense reimbursement report.

 

Monthly Tasks:

  • Prepare monthly cash projections and ensure timely expense payments.

  • Create financial analysis reports for Jackie, including cash and expense updates.

  • Assist in managing projected revenue.

  • Work with a tax accountant/advisor to prepare for tax filings.

  • Handle any additional ad-hoc tasks as requested by the CEO.

 

Skills and Software Proficiency:

  • Comfortable navigating online banking platforms (e.g., Mercury Bank, Wise).

  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Bill.com.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.

  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP accounting standards.

 

Work Environment:

  • Location: 100% remote; candidate must be U.S.-based.

  • Schedule: Flexible 10-15 hours per week; must be communicative and meet deadlines.

  • Collaborate with the CEO’s personal assistant on payments, reimbursements, and ad-hoc tasks.

  • Provides monthly financial updates and analysis to the CEO

 

Confidentiality and Data Security:

  • Must sign a confidentiality agreement and adhere to strict protocols for handling sensitive financial information.

  • Responsible for safeguarding access to all personal and business financial accounts.
