About the Role
We’re looking for a Creative Lead who can take full ownership of our visual identity. We need someone to bring it to life across web, ads, email, video, and beyond. You’ll be the first in-house marketing designer on the team, responsible for both strategic brand direction and fast, high-quality execution.
From evolving our brand guidelines to producing original video content, from building paid ad assets to styling blog illustrations, you’ll be the go-to creative engine that helps Gymdesk stand out in a sea of sameness.
You’ll work cross-functionally with the marketing team (content, SEO, product, paid), our Webflow agency, and contractors across social and ops. You’ll replace the need for multiple design vendors with a centralized, in-house creative engine.
What You’ll Own
Lead visual design across all channels: website, ads, social, email, content, sales enablement
Define and maintain our brand guidelines, asset library, and templates for repeatable creative
Own the design system for Webflow, working with agencies and directly in the platform
Create and test paid ad creative that performs (static, carousel, UGC, short-form video, etc.)
Collaborate with our Content and Originals team on video cuts, intros, lower-thirds, and visuals
Support our SEO and blog content with illustrations and guidelines for outsourced writers
Design and optimize email templates, both visual and HTML
Build product mockups, launch visuals, and feature assets for new releases
Support social content with template kits and video overlays
Manage brand consistency across all internal and external touchpoints
Occasionally support light video editing when needed (Reels, YouTube, etc.)
Who You Are
5+ years of experience as a brand, marketing, or visual designer (SaaS/tech experience preferred)
Comfortable owning design strategy and execution across a lean marketing team
Experience designing for SaaS brands, with a modern, clean, and performance-oriented style
Comfortable in Figma, Webflow, Adobe Suite, Canva, and video tools (Premiere, CapCut, etc.)
Able to set up scalable systems like design libraries, guidelines, templates, and processes
Familiar with performance marketing and best practices for conversion
Comfortable editing short-form video content for social and paid use
Organized, fast-moving, and excited to build a brand from the inside out
Bonus: Experience in martial arts or fitness, or a passion for the industry
Why This Role?
Gymdesk is already growing quickly through organic and product-led marketing. But our visual identity hasn’t caught up to our ambition.
We’ve outsourced design across multiple agencies, resulting in inconsistency and slow turnarounds. This role changes that.
You’ll be the first in-house creative hire, with the opportunity to own brand design from end to end. You’ll work on projects that span the funnel from high-performing paid ads to Originals storytelling to our website. And you’ll build the brand systems that scale as we grow.
