Sr. Sales Engineer

Hasura is looking to hire a Sr. Sales Engineer as part of our enterprise sales team. The Enterprise team focuses on solving API and data platform problems for organizations in the Global 2K. You will serve as a key part of the sales process, helping to obtain the technical win for Hasura Enterprise (both hosted and self-hosted) during a deal cycle. This includes leading architecture discussions, sharing product demos, hosting technical workshops, answering customer environment integration questions, and other tasks that are needed to position Hasura Enterprise to be the solution of choice for our enterprise customers.

What the role will involve:

  • Be an integral part of the sales team and help solve problems for Global 2K organizations that drive technical wins in the Hasura sales process

  • Conduct architecture discussions for prospective customers that help customers visualize how Hasura will align to their overall technical architecture & goals

  • Conduct engaging demos for end customers

  • Successfully manage Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements and solve any technical objections

  • Answer customer provided RFPs as needed

  • Successfully answer all customer technical questions during the sales cycle and/or help align the right internal engineering resources to help

  • This is a remote position, so you will be working remotely and visiting customers onsite as needed (30-60% travel)

  • In-person team gatherings for internal planning, brainstorming and team-building

To be successful you will:

  • Have a deep understanding and command of the customer’s technical environment and the technical priorities that drive decisions from the VP and C-level

  • Be able to successfully position Hasura commercial solutions in a competitive engagement

  • Gain the knowledge to successfully challenge prospective customers to adopt Hasura’s philosophy on how we propose to solve data access & software development challenges

  • Build credibility and trust while influencing buying decisions

  • Sell on value and return on investment, not just technical functionality

  • Be a team player

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a full stack developer or in-depth, hands-on full stack experience

  • Ability to build and deliver impactful, technical demos & presentations to your customers

  • 8+ years of experience selling developer/engineering-centric solutions to VP/C suite in medium/large enterprises and Global 2000

Nice to have:

  • Prior GraphQL experience

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP or Azure clouds

  • Prior experience selling enterprise database solutions to Global 2000

  • Prior experience selling and/or working with API Gateway / Management / Security Solutions

Location:

This role is fully remote. 

Compensation:

The compensation for this role ranges from $180-200k base (including bonus) plus ESOPs.
