Director Marketing (all genders)

We are seeking a hands-on VP of Marketing to lead and scale our go-to-market engine as we grow from approximately $5M to $25–30M ARR. This role is accountable for building a predictable, scalable revenue marketing engine in a B2B SaaS, multi-product environment.

If you are a builder, this is an ideal role for a marketing leader who has successfully scaled SaaS companies through this growth phase, understands the complexities of multiple products and buyer journeys, and thrives working closely in partnership with the executive team, Sales and Product teams.

As the Director/VP of Marketing, you will be a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to our Founder. You will be the most senior marketing person in the company responsible for leading all marketing functions. You will create and own shaping and executing the marketing strategy and pan to drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and long-term brand success.

Company Stage: ~$7M ARR, scaling to $25–30M ARR

Reports to the Founder

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with the company’s growth goals.  

  • Create the overall marketing strategy, including the brand strategy (storytelling), demand generation, go-to-market strategy and execution, growth marketing, content marketing and marketing operations (performance analytics). 

  • Create industry-specific narratives where needed

  • Represent marketing at leadership and board level

Revenue & Growth Leadership

  • Turn marketing into a revenue-relevant and predictable lead generation engine, creating 60-80% of total revenue

  • Develop marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline targets aligned to ARR growth.

  • Design and scale a full-funnel SaaS GTM strategy across multiple products and customer segments.

  • Experiment with expanding into non-German-speaking regions

  • Build an annual and quarterly marketing plan to achieve pipeline targets

  • Partner with Sales leadership to define and operationalize account qualification, prioritization, and handoffs (e.g., MQL/SQL/6QA or equivalent).

  • Support new product launches, cross-sell, and upsell motions in partnership with Product and Customer/Domain Success

Demand Generation

  • Build a repeatable, scalable demand engine across inbound and outbound,

  • Develop ICPs, personas, and segmentation for multi-product SaaS offerings.

  • Scale paid media, content, lifecycle marketing, events, and partnerships to focus on ROI.

  • Leverage intent data and AI-driven tools to improve targeting, engagement, and conversion.

Brand, Messaging & Product Marketing

  • Own company positioning and narrative across the portfolio of products

  • Own the external-facing story the founders and sales tell

  • Develop clear differentiation, value propositions, and use cases for each product or bundle

  • Drive consistent messaging across website, campaigns, sales enablement, and product launches.

Team Leadership: 

  • Assess current four-person Marketing team and recommend where and what functions need to be added

  •  Build a high-performing team and collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement and professional growth. 

  • Foster a culture of teamwork and drive the team's development to achieve excellence.

  • Decide when to hire, outsource, or automate at each growth stage

Marketing Operations

  • Manage email marketing policies and other channels

  • Establish scalable processes, dashboards, and reporting to support growth to $30M ARR.

Your Profile

  • Experience & Education: ideally 12–15+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience in a SaaS or technology-driven company

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a marketing team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, founder-led or scale-up, dynamic environment with a proactive and flexible approach to managing change.

  • Strategy & Execution: Hands-on operator comfortable moving between strategy and execution

  • Proven experience scaling SaaS companies from ~$5M to $25–30M ARR

  • Experience operating in a multi-product SaaS environment

  • Strong background in demand generation, revenue marketing and storytelling

  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, pipeline velocity)

  • Proven ability to partner closely with Sales leadership

  • Native-level German proficiency and strong English skills (C1 or higher) required for working effectively in international B2B SaaS and leadership contexts.
