
Graphic Designer & Thumbnail Designer
We’re looking for an - intermediate-level graphic designer with experience in editing Facebook Ads, YouTube Thumbnails, Instagram Thumbnails and TikTok Thumbnails and engaging content for social media. If you’re someone who has intermediate editing skills, and are keen to work in a fast-paced environment where we focus on putting out a large volume of content while maintaining the highest standards of quality, this position is for you.
You MUST have a meticulous eye for detail and pay attention to detail in your editing, picking up what others might think is good enough, and making sure we maintain the standards set.
Please attach your CV and previous work experience, specifically for Facebook Image Ads, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok Thumbnails and Social Media Content. You do not need to attach examples for all, but at least 3 of them, with a minimum of 5 examples per theme. EG. Minimum of 5 for YouTube Thumbnails and 5 for Instagram Thumbnails.
Remote, Flexi Time
The role is fully remote with flexible working times.
Part Time: 20 hours per week
Salary: $2500-3000 AUD per month
Responsibilities
The individual within the role is responsible for the following;
Graphic Design:
Creating ad creatives using CAD (computer aided drawing) software or other digital software for the purposes of graphical manipulation of images and text etc
Images created are to be aesthetic and enticing
Proofreading and quality control- ensure no errors with spelling, capitalisation etc. and that all requirements from the client brief are met
Ensure produced designs meet all aspects of the client brief, including but not limited to:
Colour schemes
Awareness stage
Aspect ratio
Client-provided assets
Offer guidelines
Suitable for the target audience
Project description followed and executed
Designs exported in the requested format at sufficiently high resolution
Other graphic design tasks were requested, such as graphics for websites, funnels or other forms of marketing, whether digital or printed materials
Communication:
Communication and Frequent check-ins with the team with status updates where appropriate
Frequent progress updates tracked where requested by project manager
Communication with media buyers or project manager where necessary to clarify client briefs or instructions
Communicate any issues that arise as soon as possible to project manager
You are able to communicate directly with clients, understand their needs and action on their requests.
Communicate with graphic design team where necessary
Available for team zoom communications if needed during business hours
Planning and scoping
Reading and note-taking from client briefs sent by media buyer
Based on client briefs, set and agree to project turnaround time with media buyers or project manager
Requirements
Proactive communication including reporting and progress updates where appropriate
Must be proficient in Asana, or similar project management softwares, or have a willingness to learn and communicate through Asana for projects.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with Adobe Photoshop.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience with Canva.
Ensure consistent quality of work
Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise projects in the pipeline
Ability to confidently and concisely communicate with J-Digital team via Zoom and Slack
You are able to communicate directly with clients, understand their needs and act on their requests to produce the highest quality designs for them.
Strong attention to detail in both design execution and following briefs:
Ability to follow media buyer instructions and client briefs/high level of reading comprehension and thoroughly understand the requirements (ask questions promptly if needed)
Stay up to date with graphic design trends and iterate/innovate continually
Reasonable understanding of digital marketing strategies and concepts
Continue to improve and expand your graphic design skillset
Stay up to date with generative AI and emerging technologies related to your role
Nice to Have: User Experience and User Interface Design Experience/Qualifications
Design/Mockup both low and high fidelity UI Designs using software
Incorporate lead developer requirements and feedback for ease of implementation
Design websites according to client requirements
Suggest and implement the most modern and effective UI/UX principles
Advise marketing team on areas for improvement in page design and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation)
CRO and marketing principles to incorporate in page design
Learn GHL page builders and good working knowledge of front-end design
Assist with designing and/or building landing pages for deployment in GHL
