We are searching for a talented, creative, persuasive writer who specializes in script and speech writing to join our innovative and growing company. The speech writer’s responsibilities include preparing speeches suited to the audience and platform, completing revisions according to speaker feedback, and meeting all deadlines. You fully understand the principles of persuasion and what it takes to develop a call to action for viewers/consumers. You should be able to analyze the voice and tone of the speaker to best represent our brand and prepare content appropriately.

Your primary goal will be to craft appropriate content based on research and SME interviews, content that speaks to our viewers and motivates them to take action. Our speakers educate audience members in real estate investment for our live and virtual events (Master classes). As a Speech Writer, you will be responsible for performing extensive research on various real estate related topics, facts, and statistics as well our network’s success stories. You will also be responsible for tell these stories in an impactful and meaningful way.

You should study the speaker's tone, voice, and overall style. To be successful as a Speech Writer, you should have sound knowledge of public speaking abilities.

You will:

• Understand written briefs and meet with speakers to discuss the specifics of the speech, which may include structure, points of emphasis, appropriate humor, content, and overall style

• Conduct research to obtain interesting facts and statistics that can be used in the speech

• Submit the speech outline and subsequent drafts for approval

• Ensure that the speech is conversational and that the objectives will be clear to the audience

• Double-check that the speech is in a suitable format to be read off cue cards or a teleprompter

• Ensure the speaker is aware of how to incorporate visual aids or props into their speech

• Schedule a rehearsal session with the speaker if required and provide them with tips and advice

• Implement speaker feedback and complete any edits to the speech as soon as possible

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English Literature, Journalism, Creative Writing, or a related field

• Working experience as a Speech Writer, or a similar role in the marketing industry

• Staying abreast of the latest trends in the real estate industry

• Ability to understand and write for different audiences

• Expert in principles of persuasion

• Performing thorough research on facts

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of technical writing

• Ability to take feedback in a proactive manner

• Ability to meet the deadline of the project/event

• Ability to make last-minute decisions

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrate excellent public speaking abilities

• Good organizational and problem-solving skills
