About the Role:
The Campaign Retention Manager is a key operational role within Marketing Operations, responsible for executing and optimising all customer retention and lifecycle campaigns across the retention stage of the customer journey.
Reporting to the Head of Growth, this role owns the end-to-end delivery of onboarding, education, cross-sell, referral, and re-engagement campaigns. Acting as the operational bridge between Growth, CRM, Marketing, Product, and Compliance, the role ensures communications are personalised, performance-driven, and fully compliant within a regulated fintech environment.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong experience in lifecycle marketing, segmentation, analytics, and financial regulatory compliance (GDPR, KYC, and financial promotions governance).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all retention-stage lifecycle campaigns and communications
Operationalise retention strategies defined by Growth and CRM leadership
Create, build, deploy, and optimise CRM journeys across email, push, in-app messaging, and SMS (where compliant)
Help identify growth opportunities, optimisations, churn risks, and engagement drop-offs, and implement lifecycle interventions
Maintain complex audience segmentation frameworks
Monitor retention, performance, and report against defined KPIs
Lead A/B testing and test-and-learn initiatives to improve engagement and retention
Ensure all communications comply with GDPR, KYC, consent management, and financial regulations
Collaborate with Content, Creative, Product, and Marketing stakeholders to ensure consistent, compliant execution
Maintain governance documentation, including Campaign briefs, segmentation logic, journeys, and compliance processes
Identify opportunities to improve automation, personalisation, and operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years’ experience in lifecycle or retention campaign management
Good understanding of marketing automation, triggers, segmentation logic, and QA within CRM platforms and other marketing tools
Strong understanding of customer lifecycle management and retention strategy
Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms
Advanced segmentation and audience management experience
Analytical skills with experience using CRM and app analytics
High attention to detail in QA, compliance, and campaign execution
Excellent cross-functional communication skills
Organised, process-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Skills/ Nice to have:
Experience within fintech or regulated financial services
Passion for crypto, blockchain technology, financial sovereignty, and alternative economic models
Working knowledge of GDPR, KYC processes, and financial promotions regulations
Advanced testing and experimentation experience
Agle marketing trained
