Role: Financial Controller
We’re seeking a Financial Controller to lead Kinsta’s global accounting operations. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of financial reporting processes, serves as the primary owner of our NetSuite environment, and acts as a strategic partner to the executive team by providing timely, reliable financial insights in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
What You’ll Do
Financial Reporting & Close
Oversee global month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Ensure timely, accurate preparation of financial statements and KPIs
Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures
NetSuite Ownership
Serve as primary owner of NetSuite
Lead system optimization, configuration, workflows, and integrations
Partner with stakeholders to align NetSuite with evolving business needs
International & Multi-Entity Operations
Manage accounting for multiple international subsidiaries
Oversee intercompany transactions, eliminations, and foreign currency processes
Lead global cash management activities
Internal Controls & Compliance
Design and maintain a robust internal control environment (SOX-lite)
Identify and remediate control gaps
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations
Audit & Tax
Act as primary contact for external auditors
Plan and manage annual audits
Oversee international tax compliance (VAT, GST, transfer pricing)
Support direct and indirect tax processes and filings
What You’ll Bring
8+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in SaaS leadership
Strong NetSuite experience (Stripe and Brex a plus)
Experience designing and implementing accounting processes and controls
Expertise in direct and indirect taxes
Experience with subscription billing and deferred revenue management
Proven track record managing international subsidiaries and multi-currency operations
CPA strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s/MBA a plus
Nice-to-Have:
International finance experience in EMEA, APAC, or LATAM
Background in public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier firm)
Experience managing remote, globally distributed teams
