Job Summary

The graphic designer uses their passion for visual storytelling & innovation to help tell the Lucet story, creating high-quality content designed to make an impact for the partners and members we serve. While the primary focus centers on graphic design, the ideal individual will have experience in all means of visual communication, including video and motion graphics to convey messages in an effective and aesthetically pleasing manner. This strategic role is responsible for defining, enhancing and upholding the brand standards, while conceptualizing, developing and executing creative concepts for the company.

Essential Functions

Create, Design, and Brand Consistency

  • Develop and extend brand standards, defining brand strategy for internal and external audiences to ensure consistency across all materials

  • Comprehend and translate briefs into workable layouts for marketing and sales materials, websites, banners, landing pages, microsites, infographics, e-newsletters, brochures, advertisements, posters, business system documents, promotional collateral, reports, co-branded customer materials and more

  • Apply a strong understanding of color, layout, and typography to deliver high-quality, on-brand designs optimized for web and mobile experiences that maintain brand integrity and user engagement

  • Deliver accurate, on-time drafts, consistently aligning with project timelines

  • Direct and manage web wire-frames and mock-ups, translating them into polished, visually cohesive web layouts

  • Develop and maintain graphics library, including configuration management and version control to ensure brand elements are organized, accessible, and up to date

  • Prepare presentations (with expert PowerPoint skills) and create workable layouts for marketing, sales, and account management teams, including templates, proofs of concept, banners, landing pages, microsites, infographics, websites, e-newsletters, brochures, advertisements, posters, business system documents, promotional collateral, reports and final polished materials

Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and execute designs aligned with campaign goals, strategic objectives, and brand identity

  • Lead discussions with internal and external audiences on co-branding requirements and execution

  • Provide ongoing consultation and approval of all graphics developed by department or outside partners

  • Lead and participate in brainstorming sessions with internal and external clients

  • Receive and incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to refine designs

Project Management

  • Critically evaluate the best delivery mechanisms for projects, offering varying final deliverables and/or technologies when appropriate for optimal outcomes

  • Manage multiple design projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, using project management techniques and processes to develop project plans, cost estimates and tracking, and progress tracking

  • Monitor and communicate project progress to ensure all team members and stakeholders are aligned and informed

Innovation

  • Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, continually bringing new ideas and inspiration to the team

  • Keep the brand fresh by finding creative ways to apply brand guidelines and ensure the visual identity remains relevant and engaging

  • Comply with all Federal and applicable State and local laws and Lucet Policies and Procedures regarding privacy, confidentiality, and security of health information, and other designated information.

Job Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, graphic design, visual communication, or similar

  • 3+ years of relevant experience of professional graphic design experience, ideally within a digital or creative agency setting.

  • A portfolio demonstrating artistic style and expertise in interactive web development

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)

  • Working knowledge of web/mobile/interactive design including HTML5, CSS3, social media, usability, and web design trends

  • Expert knowledge of defining a brand, brand strategy and execution

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, managing many projects and deliverables at once

  • Expert knowledge of designing in Microsoft PPT, competency in additional Microsoft Office Suite programs

  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.

Preferred

  • Experience/interest in video/motion graphic development

  • Proficient in video editing software (DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro)

  • Comfortable writing short copy and proofreading

  • Behavioral health or healthcare experience

  • Ability to travel to 2-3 annual in-person meetings

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed indoors in a home office environment- not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

  • Frequent exposure to VDT screen and computer.

  • Physical demands include constant ability to remain in a stationary position, move about inside an office or remote setting, able to communicate and exchange information with others, able to inspect information, and able to perform repetitive motion with arms and fingers.

  • Mental demands include constant ability to interpret data, problem solve, make decisions, and organize and plan.

 

Salary and Other Compensation:  

The starting salary that Lucet reasonably expects to pay for this position ranges from $63,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills, education/degrees, certifications, prior experience, market data, and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of Lucet's incentive plan based on both company performance and individual performance.
