JOB SUMMARY:

Supports the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of software development projects within the PMO framework. This role ensures adherence to project governance standards, facilitates project documentation and reporting, and works closely with project managers, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure timely, and successful delivery of software initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project and portfolio management processes within software development initiatives.

  • Track project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource utilization.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, status reports, PMO metrics using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, or Excel.

  • Ensure delivery projects comply with internal PMO policies, standards, and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall as applicable).

  • Facilitate project governance activities, including steering committee updates, post-mortem reviews, and change management processes.

  • Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation across software teams.

  • Monitor financials related to delivery projects, including budget tracking and forecasting.

  • Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, developers, and QA teams to gather and analyze project performance data.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in PMO process refinement.

  • Lead and manage small-scale internal projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. Engaging/aligning internal stakeholders. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience leading projects, or analyst role within a software development or IT environment.

  • Familiarity with project governance techniques

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologies.

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Trello).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and tools like Scrum, SAFe, Confluence, etc.

What Majesco Offers: 

Majesco is committed to equal pay and transparency.  The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000.  Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US.  It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors.  Majesco considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, candidate's work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
