Masse is a fast-growing SEO agency, delivering high-impact "Content at Scale" SEO campaigns for ambitious tech companies operating at the extreme cutting edge of technology, including AI, robotics, and software development.

We are looking for a Technical Writer with a strong software engineering or development background to join our team. This role is specifically focused on producing technical content for developer audiences, meaning you must be comfortable writing about code, APIs, SDKs, software frameworks, and developer tools in a way that is both engaging and technically accurate.

In this role, you will write high-quality, well-researched technical content for 1-2 clients at any given time, immersing yourself in their product and company. Your writing will educate developers, engineers, and technical decision-makers on how to implement, optimize, and troubleshoot various software solutions.

Masse also operates a growing portfolio of tech-focused media sites. You will have the opportunity to contribute to these platforms, writing about AI, automation, and software development best practices for a wider tech-savvy audience.

What you'll do

• Write up to 20 technical articles per month (Avg. word count: 1,750)

• Start with comprehensive briefs and leverage our proven AI-assisted writing process (We don't start from scratch, but we enhance and refine AI-generated content)

• Edit AI-generated drafts to improve flow, remove generic content, and add clarity

• Research complex technical topics, fact-check AI-generated content, and add unique industry insights

• Craft developer-friendly tutorials, documentation, how-to guides, case studies, and technical deep dives

• Ensure content is clear, concise, and optimized for a developer audience

• Work closely with sub-editors for proofreading, formatting, and imagery

What were looking for

• Native-level English proficiency

• Prior experience in technical writing (1-2 years minimum), specifically for software, APIs, SDKs, or other developer-focused content

• Software engineering or development experience (1-2 years minimum) You must have hands-on coding experience and understand software concepts deeply

• Strong opinions on what makes good technical content

• Experience working fully remote

• Startup experience highly preferred

• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines

• A detail-oriented researcher who enjoys diving deep into the intricacies of software and technology

The Details

• Compensation: $36,000 per annum (Full-time, 5 days per week)

• Location: Fully Remote

• Employment: Contract (Initial 3 months, with potential for extension or permanent role)
