Social Media Manager

Muze is a new social network where users share real-time content, spark conversations, and discover like-minded communities. What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms (X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Discord, YouTube, and emerging channels) to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.

  • Create and curate high-quality, engaging content: short-form videos, memes, threads, real-time posts, stories, and graphics that capture Muze's vibrant, community-driven vibe.

  • Build and nurture online communities: moderate discussions, respond to comments/DMs, foster user-generated content, and turn followers into advocates.

  • Run organic growth campaigns and experiments to spark viral moments, collaborations with creators/influencers, and cross-promotions.

  • Plan and manage paid social ads (where needed) to amplify reach, targeting creators and communities interested in real-time social experiences.

  • Analyze performance metrics using platform analytics and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, native insights) to optimize content, timing, and strategies—report on growth, engagement, and ROI.

  • Stay ahead of social media trends, algorithm changes, and competitor activity to keep Muze's presence fresh and innovative.

  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to align social efforts with feature launches, user feedback, and platform updates.

  • Own content calendar, scheduling, and crisis/response management to maintain a positive, authentic brand voice.

Who You Are

  • Ability to deliver creative content

  • Able to work individually or as a team

  • 2+ years of experience managing social media for consumer apps, startups, or creator-focused brands in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven track record of growing audiences organically (e.g., 10k+ followers, viral posts, high engagement rates).

  • Expert in content creation: strong writing for threads/captions, basic video editing (CapCut, Premiere, or similar), and visual design (Canva, Photoshop, Figma).

  • Deep understanding of major platforms' algorithms, best practices, and community building.

  • Data-driven: comfortable with analytics, A/B testing, and turning insights into action.

  • Startup mindset: self-starter, moves fast, zero ego, obsessed with growth and community.

Bonus

  • Experience promoting real-time/social features (live streams, feeds, subscriptions, payments like Stripe).

  • Skills in paid social advertising (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, X Ads).

  • Experience with creator economy tools, influencer outreach, or subscription platforms.

  • Portfolio of past campaigns or personal/professional accounts with impressive growth/engagement.
