Senior Frontend Developer (Vue3)

We’re now looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to take part in the development of new features and the transition process of separating the frontend (Vue 3) from backend (Python/Django). They will develop features on the Vue 3 frontend using the Nord Design System and Nuxt 3. The key responsibility is to contribute to migrating the frontend and to architect, build and test features in the new Vue 3 frontend for Provet Cloud. Going forward, they will participate in the new developments and initiatives for the team defined by the OKRs. The Frontend Developer is expected to take responsibility in the front end developments for the product team independently, with the participation and support from the rest of the team and the Team Lead. ðŸš€

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Architect, build and test features in the new Vue 3 frontend for Provet Cloud

  • Work with backend engineers to define requirements for REST API endpoints

  • Create a great user experience with help from UX Designers and Product Managers

  • Review work of peers and provide feedback to other engineers

  • Ensure best practices are in use for all frontend developments

  • Help maintain a culture of empathy, safety and belonging where all voices are heard

  • Work together with our internal design system team to integrate and evolve Nord Design System

  • Build new user-facing features with beautiful and scalable UI components

  • Improve frontend performance

  • Work on accessibility best practices

Success factors and key challenges of the role:

  • Solid professional experience in software development, migrations and product maintenance.

  • Working in the domain area requires getting familiar with the main product along with various micro-services.

  • Close co-operation with the team and with other stakeholders is required. Independence in connecting with relevant parties and good collaboration skills are required in this role.

  • Courage to make conclusions and take ownership is a key to being successful in the role.

  • Capability to work under pressure with tight time schedules.

  • Enjoying collaboration with product, design, and other engineers to ensure high-quality product development..

  • Ability to prioritize work tasks and time management both independently and in collaboration with the team.

  • Individual OKRs will be set based on the team/ Business unit OKRs.

What will help you to be successful in this role?

Ideally, you have already gained some experience from working in a fast growing, global SaaS company. In addition, our humble wishlist would be that you:

  • Strong experience with Vue or other modern frontend frameworks, preferably using TypeScript

  • Experience with Vue 3 and Composition API is considered an advantage

  • Experience with Nuxt 3 is a bonus

  • Experience with automated frontend testing

  • Experience with design systems or Web Components is a big plus

  • Experience with Python/Django is a big plus

  • Experience in building accessible services

  • Knowing a thing or two about DevOps and CI/CD is a bonus

  • Fully proficient in English, written and spoken
